Question about GT1

I'm playing GT2 for some time now, and I heard that GT1 is a good game too, although I've never played it!
Does it have something what GT2 doesn't have? (NOS etc.)
Post some reasons why I should buy GT1.

yeah GT1 has hi-res mode, which makes everything look smoother and prettier, GT2 has crappy event synthesizer

I like GT1 because it doesnt have the stupid horsepower Limited races that are in GT2.

the horsepower limits are good. with the horsepower limits you can't enter a Suzuki Escudo against a Mazda Demio A-Spec and kick it's arse by like 1 minute
