So I just got this game a couple of days ago and I'm loving it. I'm new to the forums as well so "Hello!". Anyway, I made it to the Amateur league races and I'm doing the Mazda Roadster series. I did the first race at Kyoto Drivng Park - Miyabi and man was that car so loose!!! I had a hard time keeping it on the track in turns as it felt like it wanted to oversteer a lot or something. I was wondering what settings would be best to tweak to "tighten" the car up a bit and keep it on the path I want it to be on when turning? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome :)

Maybe in the early days of your GT Sport career, use CSA or a bit of TCS until you get used to the feel of the car. Mostly though, just go steady with the steering... don't jerk too much one way or the other, plan ahead and steer smoothly.

Have you completed the licenses, missions and circuit experience? These are a really good way to get used to the handling of a variety of cars as well as getting to know the tracks.

Oh and when you've done the above, get on Sport Mode :)

If you don't want to use driver aids (I prefer to drive this way because I feel like it's easier for me to understand what the car is doing), then here's some things you could try to retain grip in the rear:

Under suspension:
- Increase the rear toe-in value
- Reduce the rear natural frequency
- Reduce the rear anti-roll bars

^ Don't go crazy with the adjustments at first, adjust one parameter a few clicks and see how it affects things. You'll start to get a feel for what does what eventually.

I'd give advice on the LSD settings but it's changed a little since GT6 and I haven't played with them much. I've mostly been relying on suspension settings since the beta, sorry I couldn't be more helpful there. In general though adding the LSD often helps sort out or lessen some for erratic car behavior, even on stock settings.

Another easy (but not perfect) solution to tail happy cars is having the rear tires one grade higher than the fronts (i.e. medium fronts soft rears).

Try this Mazda Miata/MX5/Roadster tune?
If you want some tuning tips, please place it here GTS Tuning and welcome to :gtpflag:.

First thing is exactly that. With added bonus that Licenses, Missions e Circuit Experience would allow you to win dozens of prize cars.

Second thing, the MX5/Miata/Roadster is pretty balanced stock. There is room to improvement, but it's pretty nice to handle as it is. You should do the other way around, try to adjust your style to the car you are driving. If it is oversteering a lot, maybe you are putting to much input on steering or being to hard on throttle, not lack of tuning.
