Because the SR20DE maxed out is making about as much power as the stock 5.0 is making with 150,000 miles on it. For the cost and effort of making the SR20 swap, a plain easily-built 5.0 could be making a boatload more power. It's simple math.

Wasn't Toronado talking about the SR20DET? Which is making the same sort of horsepower stock not maxed out, but yes I wouldn't do a SR20DET swap on a car like that which stock engine has already good potential.

What is up with all the camber in the rear tires. It looks stupid and is not functional at all. I just can't understand these people.

I think it's called self-status?

Well, the car could possibly be on airbags judging by how low it is in the pics. That could explain the crazy camber...

I think it looks pretty sick with everything closed, except for all the camber in the rear. Check the front wheel fitment though, thats awesome!

Cheers,
Matt.

I love the rear wheels. I still can't get over that Honda changed that sexy rear of Accord to the new hideous one. :yuck: I would love to own a Accord like that, minus any "special" customization.

thats some 1980's style demon camber :D fad kinda died out when people who followed it either died from crashing or totalled their cars... demoncamber=no brakes

Did you miss those totally functional door mirrors?

Did you miss those totally functional door mirrors?

Wonder if he'll fit a functionable Honda badge on it next that says to everybody who walks by, 'Please kill me'.

I didn't even see the pics from the above posts and went straight to the link, first thoughts were that is some hella photoshop, until I saw more and more pics at different angles.

They upholstery work on the rear seats are :yuck:. I know it was made to cover the actuator/shock/whatever it is, but a better job could and should have been done. They spent the money to turn it into a Transformer on the outside, but spend for shoddy leather work on the seat.

^stretched tires anyone?
The camber issue on the rear? Well they were going for the VIP look and stopped half way :sly:. I'd rock the car, after repairing the interior and the wheel wells they jacked up. Yes the car is riding on air if you look at the pics where you can see the huge tanks of air taking up all the trunk space. I wonder if that car has any sponsors? "Redbull gives you wiiings!"

The thing about that demon camber is this: the front is just as slammed. Both ends of the car are double wishbone, I believe. And that means that they actually had to perform butchery on the car's rear suspension geometry to force it to have that much negative camber.

How freaking stupid is that?

:odd: its got mismatched wheels

About that accord, if it had a decent set of rims, no negative camber and doors that opened properly, it'd belong in the imports thread, at least it doesnt have some hideous bodykit.........

GT4_Rule
Edit: on the video, near the beginning it says 6.000rpm. 6.000rpm? :odd:
It's a German video, and we have the "." and the "," the other way round. "6.000" in German means "6,000" in English.

the Interceptor

Oh, so it's switched around...

Something like the French, which uses , instead of . for decimal points - I can never get used to that.

let me make it easier for you

6,000 = six thousand in US
6.000 = six thousand in the rest of the world (save for UK, I believe)

6.000 = right
6,000 = american... which isn't necessarily wrong, just "american"
