Isn't it a factory car?

I was thinking more along the lines of a modern WRC Focus or something. I know someone has an Olsbergs Fiesta with a RWD conversion for drifting, but it still has the factory engine...

Yeah I assumed, but there aren't any modern rally cars I know of that have had engine swaps. They're too expensive to build. The Talbot was built to Group 4 WRC specifications so it does sort of count.

That distributor doesn't look GM other than the cap which is an HEI cap. What's the design on that motor? I see more AMC and Mopar in that then GM.

I wouldn't count on it being a stock motor. It's modified of course for race spec. Might as well have a field day on the Wikipedia article if you're interested.

It's not only that, it's the way it's mounted. Angled distributors are not factory and they wouldn't work on 99% of GM motors.
 
I'd daily that bitch. So much power you could idle at highway speeds and never need to give it throttle. You'd probably twist the car if you tapped the gas.

:lol: Maybe.

Honestly though, it's only a little bit bigger than a 460 so with proper front suspension it would fit fine. I have actually expressed interest in dropping one in our truck.

Well, some of the braces and the like are fabricated. It is going into a very small car, so I'm sure there's quite a few things that are abnormal. But the angled distributors I can guarantee you are factory.

They look factory but that is different from how they were made here. Yet it wasn't designed for use in our vehicles though so I understand.
