Hi. I've ditched IE6 and switched to Firefox. And its working pretty smoothly so far. But I've got a few questions:
How do I block third party sites like ad sites and banner ads?
Does it get hijacked as easily as IE6?
Will it be more secure if I turn off Javascript?
What plugins should I not use? (I tried to download Flash Player, but I saw in the EULA that it may contain third-party software. Which I can really do without.)
When more questions pop into my head, I'll post them. Right now I'm only concerned about security and adware.

1. Adblock (link posted above)
2. No Way
3. Yes, but interactivity on some sites takes a punch.
4. Most plugins are pretty safe. Just don't download Gator and stuff.

Just keep Spybot and AdAware at your side with a good AV program and you shouldn't have to do much (I have cookies enabled with a good setting and I haven't had any spyware or adware since January 2005 (when I first started using FireFox)).
