Like the 4th week in a row where I have almost zero inclination to even turn a QT wheel.

Considering the amount of driving I was doing in the game it’s dropped to near nothing meaningful. I don’t even push my TT mode times anymore once gold.
I feel your pain there mate, I've slid my rig over into the corner of the room at the end of Spa and am really trying to force myself to get the motivation to get back in it but nothing floats my boat

I gave only 1 hr practice to Big Willow Friday nyt, getting a '30.1 with an ideal of '29.7. I believe that a '29.4-5 was in me, but Suzuka somehow captured me. @NAXEHT I'll chase you another time. Then I switched to my main account to get some "Japanese" pace in the McLaren. Saturday was all from the back on alt account except for the last race, after setting a '00.7 to start from pole and get some DR back. Sunday were just all day DR gains, starting from either pole or 2nd row, managing to get the QT down to '00.4. Some people in DR B lobbies couldn't really "digest" a "not at all meta" car being way faster than them in the meta, so there were some despicable manœuvres due to wounded egos. 🤷‍♂️ Didn't switch to the meta btw. In the end I just been hooked to the McLaren all day long. The best 650s was btw 1.3 sec slower than the meta, but I found myself faster than basically anyone in S1 🤔. The main losses were actually at hairpin's exit and triangle's one.
This week I don't see myself racing, seeing the ridiculous combos PD did chose to give us.
Wishing everyone a splendid week.

Definitely looks like a damp squib this week. Shall focus on trying for gold in the licence tent.
Enjoy if you race and hopefully see a full track or 2 next week 🤠

I enjoyed NSX vs Grand Valley a huge amount the previous time it appeared. Nonetheless, I am disappointed to see it return.

It's made doubly awkward for me, coming off the back of a no DR week, stuck in B/B and I know for a fact it's going to be messy, even starting high up the grid.

I'm going to give it a couple of shots, but I just bought Hades 2 and the stagnation of Daily Races (lack of variety and fairness) is really beginning to make me think that online gaming isn't the one for me.

@benjoi84 nice to see you out there mate! That was a good race, glad I was helping you brake in places 🤣

Do you not use TC when launching? I saw you get bogged down on start.

I literally hit a 2.04.9xx 1 sec before the race! Didn’t show though, I’m loving this race, real handful around GV that car, but weak csa doing the trick!

We got ourselves a race here

I'm so sorry man, it wasn't an authentic overtake attempt I just lost my braking point 🤣

It was my first race of the week, and the grid start without the false start check caught me out. I was waiting for the lights! I assure you my launch has improved in the following races.

Bring it on.

You have a race every now and then when every major crash or clash, is down to you whether your driving is rubbish or wrong place, wrong time. This one felt like that. Fairly normal, then an ill timed attempt on a 911 and suddenly, poof!

Really hit your apexes in clean air. The second i saw you get a run on that 911 i thought, don't half heart it mate, just tuck in behind annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd you half hearted it and got gobbled up.

I tried 6 cars last night, nothing got within a second of the 992, i'll try the beetle tonight then some races and see how she goes.

To be fair to him, he was the only one who was racing, not sure what the others were doing 😁

That’s an advert for avoiding brands! People jumping up the inside and all sorts else.

I’ve tried the R8 and it’s not the group for the track, gr4 at most should be used but that’s just my opinion

Yeah that's what I said would happen last week, inside barges. TBH I think Brands is ripe for a Caterham/SUper 7 style car, light, small, chuckable, decent grip and not too much aero.

100%

That radical circuit experience is good fun, anything small not too fast would do the trick

I’d like to see mini touring, lupos, Clio but in full race spec 😁

I did 6 races C, despite them being a bit vanilla. What's interesting to see is that although my dwelling place seem to be sub-20.000 DR points lobbies for at least a year now, I have become quicker. The last (and first) time Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve was a group 4 daily race C I clocked a 1:45:1. The world record was a 1:42:8. Now I have a 1:44:6 on the board, while the world record isn't much quicker than last time: 1:42:7 (all times with the Alfa). So I definitely am closer to the top.

You have to translate this into race pace of course. I started from around P6 most of the times (and one time from the back), and I have driven in the lead as well as P16. I could keep up with the drivers around me, and the first races were neat. I finished in P4, P5 and twice in P6, one of which was from the back of the grid. Mostly clean racing to be seen. The P4 race was interesting. I started in P3 and found myself in P1 at the end of lap 1. But I also saw someone that started from the back behind me after just 3 laps. He won by some margin so wasn't really a low DR B player probably. But this race was super clean and everyone gave each other space, very nice.

After a few races I started to make a little more mistakes so I found myself midpack. My worst mistake was completely missing my T3 braking point because someone in front was taking a strange line and I was distracted: I crashed head first into the barrier. :D In the last two races I was punted and bogged until I was P16. I became quite annoyed, but kept on going. In one of those races I saw someone exploiting / shortcutting the chicane before the hairpin again, only to revenge punt someone in that hairpin. People were blocking each other all the time. I revenge punted someone into the pit lane barrier after he had hit me 3 times and just continued driving. I didn't get a penalty. These last two races saw me finish at P8 and P9, both of which gained me DR. So 4 out of 6 races were clean. Alright. after those last dirty ones I decided to do something else with my day. Maybe I will try again Thursday.

I feel you, I just can't bring myself to fire up the ps5 this week 🙉😫...and i love Brands Hatch. Too much of the same thing for too long🙉View attachment 1552137
Yeah I really enjoy Brands in any form. It has good flow, and at least in GR3 it makes it a bit more edgy,

Thanks to you and your wine, on a whim I switched to the 458, and took a lights to flag victory. Cheers!
Awesome! 🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷😎

Whether it is a lazy summer or going through growing pains, my DR finally got the smackdown with a dreaded 2k point reset sending me back to DR C. I couldn’t find the proper lines to hook up at Nür GP even in the meta Atenza last week, repeatedly finishing P10, or worse. It was probably a subpar performance at the last Nations race ending P10 of 11 finishers that sent me back to DR C.

Nursing my wounds, I am crawling my way back into good graces. Even if it is clubbing seals of sorts, I notched a decent win in the NSX with fastest lap, going P3 to P1. My rough edged Brazilian competitors seemed to treat the race as a drifting challenge. Once I had a passing opportunity, I never looked back and won with 6 secs. to spare.

It will take some introspection to see what I am screwing up on technique to stay consistently in DR B, but a win is a decent place to start the climb back.

I do like a bit of Brands, especially in the 458.
But a bottle of wine has emptied itself somehow and I'd better not drive.
It's taken 3 attempts to type this

maybe race tomorrow
I love Brands - I've been spoilt as I had one of my other favourites, Willow Springs, last week. There's something about these tracks with a hint of jeopardy that works for me...

Kept off the wine yesterday, managed two wins out of three races 😁
