This is about learning:

I have been swamp with all the technical details about temperature and tyres in project cars and like to ask if there be any training on this?

Do we need to go else where to learn about this before playing Project cars? Like when tyres are hot is there something you need to do? Not drive fast? I read that there is pressure adjustments?

So training how to drive the types of cars will be very helpful!

There is so many settings in the game and I wonder which ones to choose and why so you keep it realistic?

You will need to learn how the specific car works to drive really well in the game so i hope there will be something to help us learn. Or are you left in the dark and it just up to you to fine the resources to know what to do then?

Multiplayer options rule
Will they be a rule that everyone playing the game will need to use a wheel, pad and manual transmission?
Or else someone can just hop in the game and use automatic when well its a pro race and you need to be in manual?

How about multiplayer in the game?
Is that being put on hold for now so when the game comes out you cant go online?

Screen wiper speed
I notice the speed is slow and can you change the speed?

Pitstop
Are these random animations or do they need practice to be the faster pit stop team?

Some of your questions may be answered in the physics "FAQ".

You will not have to be an expert in racing physics at all to enjoy the game - just set up the game and hop into the cars, drive them and feel them out. Cold tyres will be a bit slidey and you must keep race pace to heat them up and keep them hot, you have optimal temps when you feel the car grip the most, if you drive very hard and overheat the tyres they will start to slide and wear very fast.

As for learning each cars characteristics, that's part of the gameplay, I'd say. While exploring the variety and finding your favourites you will learn in the process. If you're a bit a of a petrol head, reading about the cars should give you knowledge that you can use in the sim.

The ghost feature will also be useful for training.

- you can force manual or auto transmission, but the control method is up to each player (wheel, pad etc.)
- multiplayer is there from day one
- the wipers are single speed
- there are fixed pit crew animations for each type of car

Edit: Johnny has a point below...

So is the wrong thread to post questions and I should post question in the general thread? I will post it in another thread if need too.

But how do you set the setting so its realistic like in real life? Will there be some tutorial explaining this in the game?

Will the specific cars in the game simulate the real ones in real life and if they do then again do you need to read up on it? And how do you decide which cars will suit you if you have no instructor to teach you about what each car can do? It would be nice if the game could include this. Instead of trying it all for yourself and see which ones is best.

When you say that knowledge of the cars in real life will help you in the sim what do you mean by that?

I asked about wipers cause when it rains the wipers are not fast enough to take away the rain! And in reality you can have fast wipers so you can see properly! :) And your helmets are anti fog too! So i hope the developer are aware of this!

multiplayer is there from day one?
I read that its still need to be fix? Will it be basic or will they be things like matching you with other drivers of the same skill? And how will that work since you cant change parts of the car? Would you be able to explain more on the mutiplayer feature and what it offers? If there is matchmaking that would be good.

Do you know why this kind of information is not available to the public?

The short answer is because the devs like food, clothes, houses and stuff in general.
The add on to the short answer is that you are asking.

Now for the longer answer.

To sell the maximum number of games the maximum number of people who could be interested in buying the game should reach the interest level height above doing a purchase of the game on the from-mildly-interested-to-the-OMG-I-MUST-HAVE-THIS o'meter.

The most efficient way to do this is by drip feeding info on a steady rising curve towards the release, so that people are curious and keep an interest. If SMS was to release every info on the game 3 months before release the general public might reach the correct interest level at the wrong time, they might have forgotten about the game three months later when the game releases.

They want you to be increasingly curious (see the add on to the short answer)

So this is to maximize sales so that SMS can pay down their loan and afford stuff(see short answer):)

@ DirtDrift : That's a lot of questions. Yes, the cars in the game simulate the behaviour of the real ones. Again, finding the right cars and so on is part of the gameplay as far as I'm concerned - the game (at least the SP/career) is in part about experiencing and exploring a virtual racers career, the excitement of feeling out different cars on different tracks and in the end finding your path to "glory" by using your learned racecraft.

I think you'll just have to try it for yourself - things may become clearer then.

Oh you can call refer me Droakley1689 thanks, that is who you are looking at. :) Cant change the dirtdrift.

Thanks for letting me know! :) Be nice still if you get a tour of how to use the cars. :)

I've asked a lot of people about this but not got any positive answers yet.
I'm wondering about the console versions of project cars having 1-1 steering between a racing wheel peripheral and the on screen/virtual wheel. Wondering if there will be any visual and physical input lag. Will it be the same as the p,c, version which is more or less spot on with no lag between your racing wheel and the on screen wheel, barely any lag at all. I have only seen the ps4 version being played with a game pad, and its been massively optimised for game pads on the console version, so i'm wondering if this will affect the sensitivity in racing wheels.
What i'm wanting to know is will the console version match the p.c. version of p-cars which has almost perfect 1-1 steering when using a racing wheel.
The game pad has been optimised so its not twitchy like it is on any p,c, sim you can find these days.
P,C, sims are really sensitive with a pad but then perfect with a wheel.
I'm wondering if the console version may have been optimised for game pad play at the expense of having good 1-1 wheel support. I've seen the p,c, version looks great. when you see someone using a racing wheel on the p,c, version it matches up almost perfectly to the virtual wheel on the screen. 1-1 with no lag. Really want to know if any of you guys know if the console version will be the same.
Sorry if i'm posting this on the wrong thread.
Thanks in advance for any help.

TVs usually introduce some more lag vs PC monitors, so any lag would be due to that, unless you have some fancy TV.

How will Pcars address first corner carnage in MP? Transparent cars or disabled damage for the first corner or will be everything up to the players to make it?

Either or will be at the discretion of the room's creator.
