r-390 road car.....

hey i just got the r-390 road car and i thought it would be as fast as the gt-0ne road car, but i was wrong!
which do you guys perfer... or tell me that racing in the GT world championships was worth it....(stock for poly cup)......

Of course it's not as fast as the Race Version. It doesn't have any of the spoilers to increase downforce. And it's probably heavier. I never liked the GT-one. Ugly body and terrible engine sound.

Oh sorry I thought you were comparing the GTone to the race version GTone.
Anyways I prefer the R390. I used it in GT2 also. I've always liked it better than the GTone even though it's not as fast.

If you have the racing tranny for both cars check the ratios. The R390 is blindingly quick. But has a ridiculous top end of like 142 mph due to the short gearing. In GT 2 the car has the same problem.
Go to your settings and move the "Sports-Wide" slider closer to the "wide" side. you will see a considerable improvement in top speed without horrible losses in acceleration.

Actually, I just won that and I was suprised at the lack of power - that said, the handling is just about flawless - but it really feels like it could easily handle another couple of hundred horsepower without any adjustments.

Why does everyone seem to hate the styling of the GT-0Ne road car. The R390 road car is great when it is modified. I almost won the PRO GT allstars with it (I was half asleep at the time)

I like the styling of the GT1... very neat looking. Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to own any of the R390 cars yet.

Dunno - the R390 in plain dress looks pretty good - I don't much care for the race car livery.

The r390 road car stock cannot even be compared with the toyota gt1 road car. The gt1 has double the hp (stock) and the r390 has only about 350hp to start with.

The handling on the r390 is great if u leave it alone. And if u buy all the toys (which i strongly disagree with) ts a fast, good handling car.

But leaving it stock with nothing but some tires, u can enter the polophony cup and win with ease. The polophony cup its a long and boring series.

Tires for the polophony cup dont really matter if u've choosen the r390 road car becuase u kick their ass so bad u could probably pit 1-5 times in 1 race.

i remember in gt2 the gt-one was always faster, hp was 9?? hp, while the r-390 was only about 8?? hp,
BUT WHO NEEDS ALL THAT POWER for these cars???

I don't have it in GT3, but in GT2 it ruled.
