R10 or 908

Get the Peugeot. The R10 is a prize car from the Nurburgring 24 Hour Race A-Spec, if you plan on doing that race at all. The 908 is not only cheaper, but has a better performance all around than the R10.

908's faster and the Audi R10 is a prize car. So get the 908 and you'll save 750,000 cr.

The car is slow and has terrible handling! Where is the fun in that?

I don't even know what to say. Compared to what, x2010 fakemobile?

908 is a better car but R10 started this diesel game, and between it and the previous generation R8 there was some major Le Mans domination going on for a time. Once you actually learn to drive it it's not a slow/terrible car. Not to be an Audi fanboy, but this car does have some prestige, and I actually find it to be quite an enjoyable drive. Wind in the face and LMP history under your arse.

And I believe the R10 beat both 908s in the ALMS group I'm a part of last race?

To me both are fun and neat, and 908 is superior build, but neither is a bad purchase.

More competitive with 908 would probably be R15 or R18 but unfortunately those aren't a choice :(

I'd go for the Audi.
But thats just brand preference talking.

Seems like the best car (by looking at the numbers) is the 908.

The R10 is a bit more fun to drive, and you get a good view from the cockpit. You also get a laptime counter in the cockpit, not to mention less gearchanges:sly:

I'd go for the 908 though, apart from the 750,000 less cost, it's easily one of the quickest cars in the game, capable of keeping up with the Group C cars. I also love how it sounds, though the cockpit view is a bit obstructive.

Among the 908's I'd recommend the Oreca one, better cockpit view during replays:D

While I prefer Audi, the 908 is faster, just like in real life. If they had realistic reliability in the game it would be a draw. Last year's Le Mans is one expample of many, not one 908 finished.

I love Audis, love LMP cars. Was terribly disappointed with Audi R10 when compared to the FAP-mobile.

If there was an ARX-01e I'd recommend that as well. I'm just not really onboard for the 908...though it is a respectable car and for your purposes (GT5) superior to the Audi.

I still contend that online if you have a great driver in the R10 it can win tho.

I had my R10 destroy a 908 in an online race about a month ago.. wasnt even close.. one or two lap race and the gap was nearly 10 seconds.. wouldve been longer too if i hadnt forgotten to sort the transmission to compensate for the loss of the incorrect 6th gear (it only topped out at 197 down the Mulsanne).. i however have a pair of 908s as well, the R10 is more laid back, the way mine is set up you dont even have to think about where to place it in a corner, itll just go.. however my personal recommendation is the older R8, the 2001 car, itll blow both of these away

Well obviously the guy in the 908 could not drive nearly as well as you. But I'd go for the R10 just because it is a premium open-cockpit car. Save up for the 908 another time or get a 2010 ticket to try to get one. The Audi R8 Race Car '01 really is better, but much harder to find. I think the 2005 version is the same.

Pasha. Get the R10. Go against the mold! Open cockpit, fast enough to have an enjoyable drive in an history-making diesel prototype, no pretentious french racecar driver included...

Sure it's slightly slower but when driven right it's an amazing vehicle and loads of fun!

That, plus, the 908 never beat the R10 at le mans (and yes, I know the 908 in GT5 is from 09, or 2010) so I'd go with the R10

I am all about Audi, but, the R10 is a handful to drive. The 908 is much easier to just jump in and go. They are both a ton of fun to rip around the track in.

I'm going to answer this the same way I answer anyone elses "this car or that car" question:

BOTH

I would choose the Peugeot because it's faster and it looks better. But the R10 is good too and the view is great from the cockpit.

The R10 for me oversteers a lot, but adjusting the suspnsion up helps cure this problem. Also, it may be slower off the ine than other LMP's, but it's still got a high top speed.

The R10 is a prize car I think for the Endurance, although I cannot remember if it is A spec or B spec. Therefore I'd go for the 908 :)
The R10 is winnable in the Nurburgring 24hr endurance on A-Spec mode.
