This has been a project I've been planning for a while now, and now it's time to launch it.

Similar to the other RACE series RACE Porsche Cup & GTPlanet Fantasy Series, this is a series that requires minimal user input. However, instead of YouTube videos, results for the races will be posted, with a couple of screenshots from the race. As for what this is, think of it like @nascarfan1400's series meets Fantasy Football.

The Drivers:

  • Drivers can be used by more than one owner, provided the driver comes from a different year or series than was previously picked
  • When you reserve a driver, you must say what year and what series the driver raced in
  • Any driver who competed in a race in a series on http://racing-reference.info/ is eligible, however be aware, your drivers skill will come from results on this website and no where else
  • No driver can start every race
  • You must decide which driver will drive in each car at each track before the first race (I'll give a 1 week warning)
The Paint Schemes:
  • Each car must have the Number on the hood, all other design options are up to you.
  • I will be willing to make your cars if you want, but don't expect anything more than what is shown above for the show cars with a generic number on the hood.
The Pit Crews
  • You are not required to paint a pit crew, I have turned off their visuals for them. However, they do have ratings that are determined by you.
  • You can invest the points each car receives over the season into improving the pit crew for that car
  • Each pit crew has 3 sections to improve: Consistency, Speed & Strategy
  • In these sections, there are 2 categories, Minimum & Maximum
  • You must improve the Maximum first to improve the Minimum.
  • All 6 sections start at 0
The Schedule:
  1. Daytona Beach
  2. Hockenheim
  3. Brands Hatch
  4. Irwindale
  5. Kentucky
  6. Nurburgring
  7. Spa-Francorchamps
  8. Atlanta
  9. Bristol
  10. Dubai
  11. Sonoma
  12. Auto Club
  13. North Wilkesboro
  14. Watkins Glen
  15. Bathurst
  16. Daytona

  32. Homestead
The schedule is 50% Oval races and 50% Road Course races.
The Races:
  • Races will be 300 Km. long
  • Cautions will be on for Oval races on 1.25 mile tracks or longer
  • Damage will be set to moderate
  • Fuel/Tire Wear is set to 2x
The Heat Races:
  • Heat races will only occur if more than 15 (Irwindale), 18 (Silverstone), 20 (All Other Tracks) people sign up
  • Heat races will be 25% of the main race
  • No cautions regardless of track
  • Damage will be on Realistic
  • Fuel/Tire Wear will be at 4x
  • The winner of the Heat Races will move on to the A-Main
  • Then, race time will be used to fill out the rest of the available spots
  • You must finish on the Lead Lap to move onto the A-Main
  • If not enough finish on the Lead Lap, then it will alternate from Heat to Heat until the the the B-Main is as large as possible, with the rest going to the A-Main
  • Qualifying is held for both Heats, the B-Main & the A-Main
The B-Main:
  • B-Main's are 50% of the A-Main at 110% AI Aggressiveness, no damage and no cautions
  • The B-Main is held with the bottom half of the fastest lap,
  • The top finishers from there are put in to fill up the A-Main
The Points:
  • The amount of points you get in a race is determined by the amount of drivers entered for a race
  • Points are recorded by Car number
  • The points champion will be the one with the most cumulative points
  • The official champion of Season 1 will be the owner of the car that wins the playoffs
  • Spending points on Pit Crew rating will deduct those points from the car total.
The Playoffs:
  • Playoffs begin after Race 22, with each Round lasting 2 races
  • Playoffs are done by Car (Not by driver or team)
  • Winning one of the previous 22 races gets you into the playoffs
  • After that, points (Spent Points factor in here) are counted
  • Cumulative Points (Spent points aren't factored in here) after race 22 will be used for seeding.
  • There will be 32 cars in the playoff
  • Playoffs will be head to head
  • Whichever car scores more points moves on to the next race
  • The winner of the final round (Suzuka & Homestead) will be crowned Champion of Season 1

Ok, team name updated on my entry. Still wrestling with the idea of creating my livery, though, as I'm trying to create one divided into two colours...

If I've liked your entry, you've been accepted.

If it's in the OP, then I've already calculated the ratings for your entries.

Just so there's no confusion

Oh by the way, my driver list isn't quite final yet. I need to put in a little more research if that's ok?

I'll unlike it for now so I don't accidentally start getting ratings for them, tag me in a new post when your drivers are finalized with a link to the post where your driver list is.

Numbers: 13 and 31

Drivers:

2014 Lewis Hamilton (F1)
1963 Jimmy Clark (F1)

Well, this seems a little complicated.
I do find it interesting that a Prelude and R34 were chosen, but I guess those were just because it was easy to do. :P
I'll have all the info (Manufacturer and Driver stuff) later. I'll just say I reserve #13 and #31 for now, and I'll paint them myself.
BTW, can we use different cars between the two drivers?

EDIT: Drivers
2014 Lewis Hamilton (F1)
1977 Mario Andretti (F1)
1986 Nelson Piquet (F1)
Cars still undecided
One car per team

Everyone who's posted an entry has been calculated. Will start painting cars for those that have asked me
