I don't think so - the same thing happens to me for multiple threads on this site. Sometimes I get notifications and sometimes I don't.

It's because if you logon,& don't look at the thread it puts it under the watched button for you to view at a later time.

This once it's most certainly because I edited in the video in order to not, ahm, upset a certain group of people by doubleposting with only a 45 minute difference and nobody kind enough to say they hope to win or something

Setting up the roundtable interview with the top 3 and one driver from the field I believe deserve to be noticed, sort of a wildcard 👍

Right, finally got around to doing the voicing (cue the "that's about 🤬 time!!"). There is gonna be a fair bit of voice-derpyness going on, and it is 24 hours late, but hey, considering this is a one-man-with-a-cold-and-a-🤬'd-voice job, I think so far's been kinda good 👍

Just curious, did the bulk of the DNF's result from cars coming in to the pits rather than running the extra lap? Might have to have a talk with my driver about following race procedure.

Congratulations on victory in round one, obviously the best way to start the season. Surely this puts some pressure on your rivals?

I guess that does put some pressure on them. The pressure from the curries I fed everyone before the race were probably playing absolute hell on their bowels. The reason I was consistent in the race is because I just let it all out, though there was quite a smell by the end, and the staining in the suit will probably result in me getting a new one... But yeah, I really didn't think that through. And now that I've been fired from organizing meals and beverages, I think the next race will result in the rear of my car exploding, instead of the rear of me.

Second place, not at all a bad result, especially seen in the light of how things didn't quite go your way in Watkins Glen or (in particular) Adelaide?

Second place is not a bad result at all, consistency and scoring points are the only things that will keep you in a championship. The first round is always the first hurdle, it doesn't necessarily reflect the rest of the season, but it's certainly nice to know I've got some solid foundations down heading into round two.

Ideally, yes, I hope that's what happens this season. But unexpected things can happen, though.

With only seconds left to go, while holding an otherwise unassailable lead, your AI decides to enter the pit for a refuel and never comes out again. Surely you're disappointed things didn't turn out well?

We are most definitely disappointed in our performance this weekend however we have quite a few drivers chomping at the bits to come up to the major leagues and this may prove to be the perfect situation to bring them up.

So, next on the schedule is Mugello. Are you looking forward to it? Why (not)?

I'm not overly interested in a location which has a crime in its name... Well, technically it might just have a cup made mostly for hot beverages in its name, but it's a cool track. I have been there before, and I didn't get mugged, nor did anyone offer me any hot beverages... Should I be looking forward to this?

OK, what's going on? Firstly, I nailed my prediction, but that's the problem. I don't know what's going on, but for me, Dur, and rcb to have missed every race since the dual sessions were started, that we participated in, something seems awry. I don't like sounding sore, but looking at others it seems they may do very well at one track, then revert to type for the rest. Can you give us insight on how things work? More to the point, are you willing to do so?

I don't know what it is either. At first I thought it might be some small deviation in the tyre files that I've missed, but we do have the odd well-performing Yokohama/Dunlop car.

If nothing else, changing tyre supplier may be worth a shot.

Right, I've performed a little experiment with BKGlover's car. It involves Time Trial, AI driving and two different tyre suppliers.

Using the Dunlop tires, the car set a lap of 1:53,4. Using Michelin, it was roughly a second quicker.

That, of course, set my alarms off, so I went back to check where I thought I equalised the tyres. They appeared to be similar (apart from the obvious different names and stuff). Until I noticed those linked even deeper.

I think I have figured it out now, though. As it turns out, what I actually needed to do was take a look in the actual tyre files (such wow, I know), and THAT's where the inconsistency was.

What I've done now is create a new tyre file for each tyre, specific to the Porsche Cup. All of them have the traits of the Michelin tyres, which did kinda prove the best..

So, how do we know this works? Back to BKGlover and Mugello:

On Michelins, the AI this time managed a 52,9. On Dunlop, it managed 52,8!
(There are a few variables, as you would expect in real life as well)

That should've fixed it all. I'm sorry for the inconsistency there's been ( ), but I hope this counts for something.

This also means I'll restart Mugello and I may (read: will, once I have time for it) throw in a drop-round system just to even the scores 👍
