I've got a few announcements coming. They'll be made sometime this week.

Preparations are underway, behind the scenes, for these announcements. You will be pleased to hear them. It'll be quite a modern surprise, but also quite classic. ;)

We will return. Victor. ...But not without something extra...

You haven't even posted any lap times yet, so no.

Announcement #1: After the finale at Spa, we will be commencing a separate points championship of three rounds in length, immediately following the crowning of the ITCC 4 champion.

"ITCC Runoffs" will occur - starting now - at the end of every championship. They will be an additional (separate) three rounds which will NOT affect regular season standings. The standings as of Spa Francorchamps are final. However, the three additional rounds will also be for points - a separate table will be created for Runoffs. Teams and drivers can be automatically transferred into Runoffs, or drivers and teams can disband and form new teams or switch manufacturer - it will have 0 influence on regular season points. None. Zero influence on regular season whatsoever.

Runoffs circuits are as follows:

High Speed Ring is returning to ITCC for the first time since Season 2. Known for its high banking, frantic draft battles and intense final lap (5-8 cars side-by-side at the finish line) this circuit promises to be one of the most exciting races in ITCC history.

Autumn Ring Mini - the smallest circuit ITCC will ever visit plays host to the second round of ITCC 4 Runoffs. Get your Mini-Uzis out for this close quarters battle of the titans. With a flowing chicane section, and several short straightaways, the track layout is surprisingly technical.

Trial Mountain - This ITCC classic has been part of ITCC's history since Season II. The winner of the Trial Mountain races can never be predicted - even on the final lap. Get your wheels off of the ground as you attempt to take the mountain by storm - over 4 times per lap. You might as well use ailerons to steer.

This should be renamed the Nas End Of Season Series.

HSR: An almost oval!
ARM: Added upon my request
TM: The one track I haven't aimlessly whined about!

:)

Like the idea but this is what I think/predict from racing on all of them in other touring car series:

HSR: As soon as you fall out of the slipstream you fall miles behind. FF cars will just cruise out in front and dominate. One tiny little crash or sudden movement can end up wiping out the entire pack (not looking at anyone in particular).
ARM: Why not just the full track? In either case it's very difficult to overtake, always lots of barging and you either need a very compliant driver or someone to make a mistake to get through. Likely to just be chaos.
TM: 👍 but has lots of walls for me to get pushed into:rolleyes:

Just saying it like it is :sly:

HSR:I race well on ovals, or in this case, and TWM East, Rovals.
ARM:because the small track is more realistic, and more fun.
TM:As long as you don't divebomb me.

HSR: Season 2 went surprisingly well. The front group holds itself up quite a bit, surprisingly. You have never run anything like it.

ARM: I like the flow. It's either that or Brands Hatch Indy, but BHI isn't quite as interesting IMO.

TMC: the best track ever.

^I don't have the mental strength to even begin to explain to you how incorrect those three sentences are.
You rarely do to start with.

The only thing I ask is, what happens to Audi's so we can keep up?

For HSR, Audi might get a boost. But, if Season 2 was anything to go by, HSR offers more than enough draft/chances to catch back up.

Seriously, believe me, the leaders get slowed down by themselves. Teammates bump-draft until they're up-front, when their bump-drafting doesn't work as well because the guys behind just "hook-on" and can keep up.

Update: I'd be willing to host an HSR test race (for fun only) any time on Saturday or Sunday, so that you can get a feel for what it's like.

Just stick to the high groove in the sharply banked corners, hit your apexes in the slow corners, and draft. The group of cars is normally like 8-10 within a second or two, until the final corner. :trouble: then it's 8 wide.
