Let me ask this: race modding an Acura NSX makes it Honda?

People here may know this but Honda is the parent company of acura, I have seen people put Honda badges on Acuras. Honda/Acura= the same thing.

The reason it is Honda in the game is that Acuras are not sold in Japan. So it is the Honda NSX,

Bit of a silly question but how do you change the numbers on the RM cars??

There is an option to change numbers when select your car from your garage.
