Forgive probably this huge newb question but where do you buy/find Race-Modified cars?

Is it in GT Auto where you can convert a regular Premium car into a race car or something else?

So RM'ing a car is not worth it?

What's the advantage to just buying all the normal upgrades?

Well first off, the most important advantage is that the car becomes awesome to look at :dopey:

But performancewise, i think the car gets lighter than you can get with the normal weight reduction upgrades, and it enables you to adjust the front downforce, and the adjustment range increases quite a bit too.

you can tune any premium/standard car as good as a RM'd car as long as you know how to tune your car , and understanding the characteristics of your car:D

I can bet a well tuned evo 8 MR gsr '02 can smoke the silly looking evo9

You can, but you miss out on the RM's most potent features, which are fully adjustable front and rear downforce and increased weight reduction, to make it significantly superior in the corners.

Good to know.

I need to check the master list again and pay attention to the RM-option cars.

I just created a RM Vette earlier. What is the top speed you guys can get with it on Daytona Oval? I didn't have a chance to play with the gearing much yet, but i hit 232 in my second run.

I'm hoping this RM Vette will be able to match my GT40's top speed of 238.

I sure wish they would let us RM the GT40.......now that would GO LIKE STANK!!!

for example, the RM camaro 69 weighs 1085 after the mods have been done also it upgrades the interior to a bare bones race spec, only got 2 cars that have been RM the camaro and the challenger rt

Wow - a lightweight oldschool muscle car with downforce?

I think I'm in love! Looks like I will be saving for the RM '69 Z28 and '70 Challenger.

The big thing about the RM is the downforce you get with it. Doesn't matter how much power you have in the end it is all about tires and downforce in the corners. The RM allows more downforce and as a result faster lap times in the car in question.

I have 3 right now, 69 Camaro, 70 Challenger and ZR1 the ZR1 is by far the strongest but both of the classics are pretty decent. I managed to win the Classic Race Car event with the 69 Camaro though it was not easy. :)

If you RM a car straight from the dealership will it end up at the same weight (etc.) as a car that you've already done a load of weight reductions (etc.) on?

I do not know. The race mod adds a good aero package not avaialable any other way, lightens the car, adds race suspension, race tranny and race exhaust system. On the weight my guess would be that it is the same or less than if you do a full weight reduction but the car will handle better with the race mod than anything else you could do to it otherwise.
