[RACE] NR2003: 2014 GTPlanet Fantasy Series *That's A Wrap!*

This is going to sound like an interview answer, but I'm expecting a fast race and lots of hairy moments. I've been doing consistently well, and I'm looking for that trend to continue.
 
I hope you post a video of this, and of the big mess in the one previous test race. ;)
 
Drivers and team owners in the GTP-FS are calling for a halt to testing in order to look at safety issues.

Driver/owner Bhowe83 told reporters "I just don't feel safe with the cars and the way they buff around in the draft. I'm retiring the car until GTP-FS fix the safety issues on these cars. This is my only car as of right now as this team is in its infancy still, and I can't lose a car and afford a trip to the hospital to boot. We're going to go test our car at Talladega for a while until we can fix these cars in a pack, we'll be back for the shootout though."
 
500 ft of catch fence has been ripped from the track. Oil everywhere. Bits of engine across turn 2... The race has ended early.

The track crews are going to pull an all nights to repair the track in time for tomorrow's race.

Saving the race aswell as the big mess.

It will have it's own video as a result.

5 cars airborne, @Carbonox @geraghini and @AJHG1000 upside down.

@AJHG1000 was hit driver side at 190mph.

GTPFS Safety Crews are already testing a back-up rollcage for the cars.

I have no clue why there would be so many injuries with the Generation 6 car, even in the most violent crashes.

Was my team at the race or at Charlotte?

At the speeds reached, and the violent impacts, it makes sense. A Gen6 has yet to hit a wall with it's roof IRL.

You actually helped trigger it.
 
Team Hot Wheels News Update #2

Team Hot Wheel's rookie driver was involved in a frightening crash entering turn two during Daytona testing and was sent to the local hospital and was thankfully checked in at stable condition. He was one of several other drivers involved in the crash on lap 15 that halted the race, with all of them doing OK at the hospital.

Team Hot Wheels owner Gerarghini stated that the crash was a hard hit for the team.

"We haven't been able to find the consistent speed we need" says Gerarghini, current team owner of Team Hot Wheels that runs the #35 Ford Fusion. "Some tests we'll finish strong but others might as well been last place finishes. We need the testing to find the right line, the right setup and whatnot."

"This crash is going to hurt not only our driver, but the team as well. These kinds of things happen, we can't do much more than move on from here. We'll do some testing at our Hot Wheels Testing Facility and look forward to testing at Talladega."

The driver of the #35 machine will return to testing later at Talladega before the beginning of the season for the shootouts.

Crewman 1: All five were cleared and discharged. Headaches aplenty, but apparently not much more.

Crewman 2: What's causing all this? Speed? Aero? Blatant inexperience?

C1: Who knows for sure. I know this though, you can build a car out of layers of depleted uranium but it won't stop that roof from opening up like a sardine can when it hits those fence post at 200.

BKGlover: Solid bars might do the trick. Problem with that is that becomes something relatable to an artillery shell. No matter, we know what the risk are, that's why we do it willingly.

C2: Still, there has to be an answer.

The geniuses at the GTPFS Safety Tent have created a safer roll cage, that doesn't hinder speed at all! :applause:
