Race save just screwed me over!

Saved it a few hours ago decided to race again but the car is not in pit lane ... just keeps going straight at Sukuba crashes as it comes to the last turn, then joins the track again and stops after the start line... What a waste.

NEVERMIND!

Found a way past this glitch

Should have read the many threads about this. This is a known issue.
 
what I did was I told the game i wanted to keep going... then went back after the message where it told me "restarting will erase current save" I hit "No" then tried going back into the race and it worked.

Hope this works for everybody
