Apologies, I was actually sound asleep.
 
Folks, I'm sorry about this, but a funeral is going to prevent me from joining you this Tuesday. Not my funeral, fortunately, and I'm sure that uncle Alan wouldn't want to cause such inconvenience, but I feel that I must pay my respects. It's up in Leeds, and, with my cousin at the helm, there will be beer involved; I won't be coming back to Lincolnshire that night.

Any ideas for a meeting gratefully received, and I hope you all have fun.

Hmmm I had another idea for an event in mind, but I just came up with one a few days ago, so someone else can be in charge this coming Tuesday. :cheers:

Perhaps we ought to just recognise that life gets in the way, and abandon racing for tonight chaps, it certainly seems like RR'll be a few short...

And next week, for me too I'm afraid; I'm away down south with the Mrs and dog (Goodwood FoS on Sunday though, so not all bad).

I promise, I haven't jumped ship, it's just a series of coincidences.

I'll be back on 24th July, I promise, and I'll try to make it something interesting and fun.

We can vote for the track and each race should be about 2-3 laps depending on track length.

Hmm... *plots*

We did a thing a while ago at a UKGTP LAN which mixed a couple of things together. It's based on @Venari's EZGT style racing from the Numbers site, but chucks in a fun twist.

For those of you not familiar with EZGT it's basically a self-handicapping system. A player can drive whatever they want, but the car has to be capable only of reaching a certain lap time. If you are too fast, you have to de-tune the car until you can't beat the lap time. If you are too slow, you have to tune it up. This way, everyone has a car that, for them, can do the same lap time as everyone else. You do tend to get a weird mix of cars with this event.

The fun twist will involve the M4 Safety Car, which everyone will also need.

I'll come up with a circuit and a lap time, and I think everyone will need to spend a couple of weeks practising to get the car that's right for them (and to make sure they don't start beating the lap time when we start racing, due to getting into the groove).

So... say a month from now? Tuesday, August 14th?
