Look what I will driving this weekend..........

We make 'em (Australia)

Anybody out there also make race seats?

The seats make a huge difference to the gameplay, steering wheel is in the right position, body is in a racing slouch...

That's cool. How much do you sell them for? I've seen similar setups in catalogs (like the Sharper Image and Hammacher Schlemmer), but they are way too expensive. :(

what the bloody:fdevil: is it? it looks like somebody stuck an adult in one of those little kid rides that you see outside of k-marts.

LOL! It's like a big giant controller that you sit in, with a steering wheel and pedals. You know, like you see in arcades. :)

no no no, like you see in front of k-mart. it's a kid's ride. the arcade DLX macines are bigger.

Jordan,

We have just started to make them and will be domo this weekend at a motorshow. Australia.
Plan to sell them for AUD$600.00.
Haven't looked at anything but the local market.

They are made to be a knock down construction (pull apart into flat panels)

Bandit - yep you could see it that way. or you could see it like this...

LOL!!:rotfl::D that's a much better picture. now i see it.

just a question: what makes that better than playing while sitting in, oh, say, a nice comfy armchair? i would think a guy could get awfully sore playing in that thing for long periods.

Two things:
- the office chair I use at home is the best chair I've used for driving games (I use the Logitech wheel) - it's stable, damn comfortable, and cool on hot days. Gunna take a lot to get me out of it.
- I do not need to provide further evidence to my partner that I am the 31 year old child she suspects me of being

That said - good luck with it. How do you guys compare to the Hyper Stimulator crowd? Looks like you're a good deal cheaper.

:rotfl:

Yeah, this might be cool, but if I were ever caught in one... :nervous:

I still think a nice comfy chair and a big phreakin subwoofer are the way to go... :D

Guys, thanks for the feedback. this is ggod for me as I need to know what the "market" really wants.

True, to be caught in one might be damming.

References to other sim seats: I don' know about the others, (a little isolated down here) anybody have some addresses so I can go and have a look?

kinda scary if you ask me... i like the concept... but it looks to much like a bed i wanted when i was like 3-4

Be cool to try it, as long as no girls were over, they wouldn't understand I don't think.

Here's another driving setup. This one's from Germany and they're going to retail for about $150 US. I'm getting shipping prices to the US so I'll post when I get more info.

or, how about you hook your ps2 to a big a$$ stereo with about 145 gigawatts of power with 92 speakers of assorted shapes and sizes hooked to it, and sprawl out on the couch, dog, whatever, and crank that sumb*tch up loud enough to wake ppl in other states?

that's my idea of a sweet gaming rig! :rotfl:
