My pics from the Canadian GP from 2010, 2014, 2015 and 2016. Not great photos tbqh since it's hard to get up close and all I had was an older digi cam and my cell phone.
2010:
My grandstand seat at my first ever F1 race. Funny how the cars look quite strange in hindsight with their high noses.
Forever thankful I got to see Michael Schumacher race live, and in the flesh in the driver's parade. Same with Bruno Senna as a big Ayrton Senna fan.
2014:
Walking the track for the first time. Was an awesome experience, did the whole lap.
Gives me chills. After the race this spot is always super crowded so it's hard to get a good picture. You can see there's a group photo happening at this moment.
2015:
Winner of one of the 458 Challenge support races.
Funny story about this. Was at this race with my brother, and after the final 458 support race ended (before the F1 race) we went over to their "garage"/truck area and suddenly found ourselves in an area it didn't seem we were allowed. There were 458 Challenges as far as the eye could see, a 599 with the dashboard signed by Kimi Raikkonen, and other VIP cars and this Ferrari F1 car under a tarp -- I'm quite certain it was an F10 based on the thin and high nose. We had a good time for 10 minutes before someone realized and kindly told us to leave. You can still walk around and see all the 458s under tents though.
My grandstand seat in 2015.
Race winner Lewis Hamilton. He's won 3 of the 4 races I've attended, and was leading the other in 2014 before he retired with a brake failure (along with the MGU-K failure both Mercs had). Shame cause he just finally got past Rosberg and then almost immediately retired.
2016:
View from my grandstand seat this year. Nice view of the entire entrance and exit of the hairpin, from high speed braking to full acceleration after one of the slowest corners on the calendar.
Bottas zooms by in qualifying.
458 needs a bandaid.
Great to get up close and see all the buttons.
Wingless Porsche Cup car.
Senna mural. At least the past 2-3 years there's been three murals near one of the bridge entrances, of Senna, Schumacher and Gilles Villeneuve.
