I'm thinking about buying a logitech driving force gt racing wheel with a wheel stand pro. But after 1.06 you can change the sensitivity, so i cant think about much reasonsnto buy a racing wheel. Do you guys still know a few???

An option in a menu that allows you to adjust sensitivity of the controller is nowhere near as good as what the DFGT provides.

If you do a little market research, read some reviews etc - you'll see why.

Better throttle, brake and steering inputs are why you'll enjoy the game more using a wheel. I've been a GT player since part one and used the pad until a few weeks ago, I would suggest you get one. Once you try it you'll be glad you did, it really 'opens' the game up.

The feedback from the wheel gives real information about the "angle of attack" from the wheels on the road. This ads realism to the experience and allows one to drive closer to edge.

For me, adjustable sensitivity made my DFGT experience even better. I increased the sensitivity to "2", which virtually eliminated the need for hand-over-hand steering. My Caterham 7 now steers like an F1 :)

I clocked a lot of time on GT1 and GT2 with a Dual Shock, and let me tell you: once I got a wheel I couldn't imagine enjoying the game on a game pad again. The wheel is just more fun... a lot more.

Yeah it's called IMMERSION if you want GT5 to be more immersive then get a wheel.

Changing the sensitivity is nothing like playing with a wheel.

Thanks for the responses, i am probaply going to buy one, just thinking if i should get a wheek stand pro with it, cause my table is way to low. My only problem is that it costs more than the wheel itself???

Having a stand with a wheel makes GT5 insane. You will not be disappointed with this option versus a controller.

i agree with the rest of the comments here
get a wheel an you will never touch the controller for driving/racing games ever again

wow, didn't know the sensitivity adjustment worked for steering wheels, thought it was for DS3 only. Does it affect the steering lock on the DFGT?

"- [Controller Steering Sensitivity] has been added to [Driving Options]."

That's pretty vague. I mean, technically a steering wheel is a controller too.
I guess there's only one way to find out, just crank the sensitivity setting up to full and see if it makes a difference with the DFGT.
Any volunteers? Setting up my desk/wheel/etc. takes too long.

I tried it yesterday and the option made no difference whatsoever to my DFGT.

I once heard online from a guy "without a wheel your missing half the game". After using my wheel for over 2 months now , i got to admit he was defently right. I love gt5 even more than before and have 2 times more fun than before .

Buy a wheel, you will not regret it......bought a Driving Force Pro when GT4 came out and upgraded to DFGT with GT Prologue......and get a frame as well, I've got a hyperdrive frame (and bolted a fixed racing seat to it) but these may only be available in Australia.

There is no comparison between sitting on the couch with a controller and sitting "in your car" actually driving, the "game" does become a driving simulator.......

Am I the only one who expected a bull with racing stripes, a spoiler and alloy hooves upon opening this thread?

On topic though: yes, get a wheel, it's a lot more fun!

No need to try, on the official chinese GT page stated clearly, This is just affect
the "wireless" controller,this mean six axis & DS3 .:)

Oh well, maybe an adjustable steering lock setting will be in the next update :odd: I'm not doing the FGT Championship until there is. 👎

If you don't want to pay shed loads for a stand I highly recommend the Supido Hyper Drive. I got mine for about £20 and it's great. It does wobble slightly but I don't notice that in the middle of a race and you will need a cushion or a pillow as the "seat" part doesn't have any padding at all.
