I dont know if any thread exists on this topic but if it does tell me if it doesnt then welcome to the unofficial R/C thread on GTP, here you can talk about R/C hobbies, my favorite personally is RC Cars like HPI (www.hpiracing.com)and Team Associated (www.teamassociated.com) you can also post up screenshots and stats of your RC's, well just to let all of you know im not really full blown into the topic but i plan on getting a HPI Nitro RS4 3 by the end of the year i will be posting screenshots of my cousins car as soon as i can get them though, what do all of you think about RC Cars, Planes, Boats, Motorcycles, etc.?

I used to drive and compete with a Tamyia PureTen gp but now
i don't have the possibilities.. Thinking about getting a Mini-Z...
 
yea the mini-z's are becoming popular but theyre so small, i like RC cars because where i am they have a huge following and we have a few courses nearby
 
I personally have 3 Bit char-G cars...They're pretty decent when they first came out...
I got mine in HK, so when i brought it over back to North America, lots of people went "omg! Where'd you get those?!" and i was treated like a king :lol:

so theyre like zip-zaps? I wanted to get one of the zip zaps myself but then i didnt really see any point to them because they werent that popular around where i lived i'd only be able to race my brother so it was liek 20 bux wasted

The one that i have is just a hot wheels car from my teacher as my gift. :D They go fast for its size too :D
 
Well I have a real R/C car. Tamyia TA-04 R. It's a nice touring car, AWD, racing foam tires, carbon fiber body, fully modded suspension, carbon fiber racing parts, Overclocked 14 DT motor. Very nice car, I've had it clocked at 45mph on regular rubber tires and running on only 3WD.
 
I have a JRL Shelby GT500 R/C car, bought it for my dad about 10 or so years ago for his birthday. Recently he gave it to me and I love driving it, could probably use some new wires and stuff though; tune up maybe? Very fast car, I love it sooooo much.:O
EDIT: No it's not Nitro.

All you have to do is remove the ".orig.jpg" at the end of the url. ;)
 
cool im also considering the team associated tc3 because TA has got a great following its just that i dont think theyd be legal on the track over here because almost everyone uses HPI's someones selling me on for 300 dollars which i think is okay but someone is selling me an rs4 for 150 dollars which i think is better
 
I think anything TA makes is over rated. I really like Losi cars and I'm partial to Tayima
 
Here's my Mini-Z GT-R in an unfinished state. I'm so busy I haven't had time to paint it yet. Actually, I'm really not sure what colour to do it, any suggestions?
 
I just bought one of those X-Mods cars. I only bought it because I can get a skyline and a 4wd kit for it, which I did. I like it because you can get various upgrades for various things. Check it out www.xmodsrc.com. Let me know what you think.

where do u get the skyline car in rc cars ?
 
hey guys great news im getting my first rc car next week ill post up screenshots as soon as i get it home its a saleen sr7 body on a hpi rs4 3 type ss its so cool, drove it for the first time today (drove my first nitro ever today btw) its so responsive i love it only 7 daysman i cant wait and about the skyline go to hpiracing.com and there you will find racer galleries where you can find great paintjobs some rally cool skylines too good luc and man am i pumped
