Cheers to all who like my collection, that's about 4 years worth of stuff I have picked up and I'm always looking for more! In terms of racing, I don't do nitro (too noisy for where I run them) so can't really comment on that. However proper maintanance can only be good so you won't hurt it, it's just maybe a little excessive.

For my TA-04 Is just put in a new suspesion set up...I would own every one on the track now..I can't wait to make some money off some kids are the track.

what kind of kit you getting? Is it the HPI Nitro RS4 3???

im hoping it is but the problem is that i might have to buy used and what my frieds selling me is a nova rossi .12 engine with aluminum tuned pipe on a 2001 hpi (he said its a nova, but I've never heard of a nova hpi) so i dont know, and its really low prce too

I've never liked gas cars, I had one but the motor blew apart and killed the car. It was totaled. I just switched back to electric. Not to bad I got a 9 Double Turn and its well over geared, I already smoked one. Oh well. Its been clocked at 45 on street tires and over charged batteries.

Best thing you can do is buy foam racing tires along with a killer suspension setup and the motor means nothing. Thats how I started off. But you just get to the point were you want the best.

I used to have truck springs in my car and that worked great. Try that if you low on cash.

hey do you know of any tutorials so i can expand my tuning and the turns the motor has thing, and all that stuff if you do throw some my way

For tuning go to the track there usally are some good guys there that will hook you up and instruct you. I always helps guys at the track, hey I like to win but I hate to smoke people. Its always good to have a close race.

Also just screw around with your setups, you'll find the perfect one.

I don't know a ton about gas motors, I'm sure theres someone around me that can tell you all you need to know. But I can help you and suspesions and tires if you need a hand. Just ask and I'll help you the best I can.

Yeah, best place to learn is the track although try [ur]http://www.hpiforums.com[/url] as well. This is an R/C car board which should give plenty of info. In terms of the HPI/Nova Rossi combo, it doesn't sound bad at all. Nova Rossi make real good engines although I would find out if the original has been replaced or the kit was bought new without the HPI motor.

the kit was bought new with a stock hpi motor and it was replaced with a nova rossi but i never heard of an actual combo being released as in just stock hpi with a nova rossi. And also thanks for the site

My latest project, the Lowrider Pumpkin. Based on an old Associated/Bolink chassis and with a Tamiya Midnight Pumpkin shell. Currently needs body mounts, steering links and a respray. Should be quick fitted with a 12 turn Trinity D4:D

Its a rtr version which is great for me.

Kinda hard. Yes it can be done if its the right scale and everything but it won't look good on the car. But hey if you think you can do it go for it and good luck.

The main problem you have is that most SUVs are for T-Maxx and the like which are longer than touring shells. Parma do a range of 1/10th SUV shells for touring cars, their website is www.parmapse.com

Also Proline/Protoform do a Mercedes ML430 and Chrysler PT Cruiser that may be worth looking at.

Thanks, guess what I just got my car! the lhs is doing the break in and adjusting it to be ready for me to practice tomorow! I just got an electric scooter also, man I love the holiday season!

You ever see a Blazer body? I've looked everywhere but never had luck. I'd like a new style but any style would do. I just think something to set on top of my truck at car shows would be sweet.

I'm really interested in getting into higher level R/C.

I was looking at an HPI RS4 Super Nitro Rally Impreza kit the other day, I'd imagine that it's pretty good, based on HPI's reputation. What do you guys think? What else should I be looking for in the way of a WRC nitro R/C?

Super nitro isn't going to be that quick because the engine is a bit small for the chassis. HPI cars are generally good though although I wouldn't advise buying one in the UK as spares are hard to get at times. Where are you looking at running the car?

I'm honestly not sure. I figure I'll work that out once I've gotten a car and gotten the handling down. Parts and the like are no problem for me, it's a short drive to a store that is heavily involved with them and carries all the parts I'll need, as well as having quite good prices.

If not the Super Nitro, what else would you recommend? I was looking at some of the RTR HPI nitros, which seemed nice because they included radios and were still about the same price as the Super kit I was looking at. But, what's good for a beginner?
