An RS4 Rally RTR would be pretty good as it sits a bit higher than the normal RS4 so you can go over slightly rougher ground. For go anywhere fun a truck like the Rush would be hard to beat although for off road I would look at Traxxas as well. Main thing to bear in mind when buying a nitro though is the amount of maintanence and whether you can be bothered doing it!

I recently posted in the recent purchase thread that I had ordered a RC Subaru Impreza which I plan to paint like the Ken Block Impreza. Got delivered today so I will be regularly updating here to chart my progress. This is what arrived today:

HELP! I just bought an Helion Animus 18SC from Hobby tow USA today. It is my first "real" RC car. I charged the battery for a bit, then got it all set up. I turn the car and the controller on, and it starts making this loud high pitch hum (more like a scream), even when I am giving it no power. This only happens when both the controller and car are on. I know this isn't the motor because when I unplug it, the noise continues. Also the front wheels are turned all the way to the left when I turn it on, even when the trim is set to middle. When I set the trim all the way right, the wheels are still turned slightly left. Does anyone know how to fix these problems? I would really appreciate some help. Thanks!!!

Edit: I have another problem now. The car wont always reverse when I tell it to. When it does, its a big delay before it actually starts.

Edit: Dec 11, 2011: All problems solved :) 👍
