I need to re-build my pecks, I had nice ones but after a year of doing **** all mI need to get back to the gym. Theres this bird called Hayley that I'm going to start going to the gym with, she's a good mate of mine. If I was single she'd be more than that but we get on well and have a good understanding of just how well we'll get on. Also Tricia another mate of mine said she'd let me in the gym she trains Thai kickboxering at for free. Theres some big names there like Pele (if anyone follows kickboxing) it's just a bit harder to get too, but I might make the effort sometime.
 
complety worth it when after a couple of months your all buffed up and have something to show for your hard work. Not only that you will also live longer, be fitter, and have alot more energy.
 
No gyms in the immediate area. Except for the 20 yr old looking on in school.

Free weights, weights bench and my utility room suit me :D

Random Fact- I play second row for rugby. But I'm only 5'9/10" (But I have a mate who plays along side me and he's about 5'5!)
 
Do you have to be tall then to be in second row? I have no clue about rugby too physical to me and even though im quite muscular I doubt it would help much in a rugby game.

Im 5"7 at 9 and half stone (136lbs) with a 27.5 inch waist 39 inch chest 15.5 inch arms and about 10% bodyfat.
 
Well most are lanky and at about 6ft margin.

But we boast to be the shortest second rows in Swansea. And yet we both are pretty competitive in the line out. Probably thanks to our lifters.

Thats what a load of marathon runners thought recently before they started dropping dead half way through and after. I found that funny in a sick and ironic way> i used to do training for boxing< never fought proper but i did the routine for training and i sparred a bit and was in really good shape i've not put weight on since it's just what there isn't all muscle anymore. I don't want to be really big anyway, I never was huge, just broad around the shoulders.

They literally lift you by your shorts, or occasionly the better ones grab you legs.
 
I find all the buffing up by going to the gym a load of ****e:p sorry to the people who do it, but simply working as a grocery assistant in a supermarket is "buffing" me up quite nicely.
 
Lets hope all your dangly bits are tucked safely away before you get lifted.

Yeah basically with all strenous sports that if you push your body hard for years on end to the extreme day in day out there will be bodily failures. But excersie 2-3 times a week is brillaint. Seeing as you had pecs etc before this time round you should be able to build them up quicker due to something called "muscle memory".

Also you wont need to worry about getting huge after some time in the gym as unless you have your diet nailed down to eating high protein 6 times a day and/or taking steroids most people wont get more muscular than a middle weight boxer or ushers pyshique

Oh, I'm 5"9-10 I usually just say 10, 32" waist, 42-44" chest and I weigh roughly 13 stone (182lbs), I've never been much thinner, just better shape. I'm quite broad around the shoulders, but I did have a 6 pack till I stopped training thenthat went pretty fast because I'm parshal to a pint or two every now and then.It is just every now and then though :rolleyes:.

Yeah I think thats what happened with thoes runners. I've heared about that muscle memory before, I tend to take my time getting into a new routine but once I've got into it I keep it. As for strict diets, not a chance :lol:. 👍.

Put 32 miles on my car today which is actually alot more than usual. Did alot of driving in Dallas after work.

pfft, box of crisps float on my little finger of my weak hand, 40kg boxes of potatoes on the other hand, now they are fairly heavy, what about a cage packed full of 2 litre bottles of coke, by packed full i mean packed 7 foot high! 2 foot wide and 3 foot long, lots of coke, get momentum in them cages and theres nothing to stop you as it weighs more than you:p takes 2 to get it rolling and about 5 to stop one:D

Random Fact: I got back from playing basketball with the guys and now I'm dehydrated. I had to come out mid way through the last game because my calf was starting to cramp up. Played over two hours straight without slacking though. :D

Haha. Random fact: I'm still in bed at 7 AM, it doesn't matter what day. :D I just started playing inside, last week. I love playing ball outside too, but it's just so much nicer indoors. 👍 Glad to hear you're starting to play, too. I hope you shed your "rust" really fast. :p

Random Fact: After I buy 2 knee braces, I'm getting back into skateboarding. I stuffed both knees snowboarding about a month ago so I need the braces and I have 2 friends that are going to start again.
