Nordschleife all the way !

Why does everybody loves the nurburgring so much? To my opinion, circuit de la sarthe has a more epic history than the ring. And the track is also awesome of course. :dopey:

Even japanese Sport cars are brought there to set a laptime.
That must mean something ?

le sarthe is only exiting in the old 2005? form. Grass on the track sides in the corners ! no stupid asfalt shortcuts ... Why did it change !? Safety ? Why didnt pd set Penalty for crossing over the edge of the real track there ? :p

And Nordschleife is still fun in slower cars but le sathe is not. Green hell!

My other Freerun Favorites Are Eiger Nordwand and cape ring perfiri (called like that in duch game)

Only one vote for Tsukuba?! Sign me up for that, I know some think it's boring but it's the only one short enough (as far as I'm concerned) to be able to put in consistent laps so you can compare one car to another without having to factor in mistakes you've made and such. The 'ring is too long and I don't think I've ever done a flawless lap there, though it is incredibly good fun, I just think it's too long to be able to compare cars on. Also, I spend a lot of my time comparing cars to one another, so...

Deep Forest got my vote, Laguna and Trial Mountain are a close second.. These are the tracks I test and tune on, love to race on these tracks also.

For me Nordschleife is a place to drive and race in while other tracks are merely places to race in. :)

That said i have begun to drive in the more modern GP tracks lately as the smooth surface is better for practicing the basics (you can never practice enough of the basics). At times the bumby off camber/on camber/all around camber nature of Nordschleife demands different approach from the decisive throthle and brake inputs used on other tracks.

La Sarthe is probably my favorite track but I spend way more time on the ring. It tests everything about a car.

I voted for Deep Forest 👍

To me, it feels like a mini-Nordschliefe. The same horrible off-camber turns, and also quite bumpy

Good for car set-up and driving practice, without the sometimes choresome length of the Nordschliefe

Top Gear Test Track is easily the best for Free Runs. Sarthe and Nurb are certainly good though and SSR7 isn't bad either.

Circuit de la Sarthe... Though I don't play GT5 anymore...

It needs updating before im getting back into the game.

Nürburgring is my favorite track to drive on for the experience and challenge of it. Several others are close but lack that total experience for me.
I use the high speed ring(reverse) for a lot of my testing for transmission top speed settings and suspension. It's fast enough for most cars to show their legs and need good suspension settings to hold your line at speed around the low bank sweeper coming off the straight and then the right left transition out of the tunnel and across the bridge.
Last track that's a favorite for me is Eiger Nordwand (short track) was very frustrated by it when I first ran it in the grand tour but as my driving has improved I found it more enjoyable. Having it in the Kei car seasonal put it over the top for me as getting those little cars set up perfectly to just shred that course is a real blast. Proves you don't need 400+ bhp and 200 mph speeds to have a fast paced challenging race.

If I ever want to evaluate a car's performance, then it's straight to the 'Ring with me. :D

I used to enjoy joy rides around Deep Forest ever since GT1, and it is still a great track to run around. But, the great versions of the track were in GT1, 2, & 3.

Circuit de la Sarthe, if we could vote for two, I'd vote for Nurburgring too. Both are epic tracks, I like Circuit de la Sarthe because I can test my speed and handling at some portions, then Nurburgring for all out driving.

Perhaps a poll would be appropriate? I know we had a similar thread months ago, but it would be nice to know what people think now that have had more time to drive on them.

Mine is Special Stage Route 5 (all four variations); the scenery, driving rhythm, and lack of blocky-shadows make it always a treat to drive on.

Well as i am new to gtplanet, i don't know how to make a poll.
I agree with you that most people now know better wich track they like. And of course updates have helped too.
