Hi, so I bought a Ras1lution 2 to try with my brothers Moza R5. Long story short: it's quite bad. There is virtually no feedback.
I have had a DGFT (bought back with GT4) for the past 10+ years and honestly, while the R5 is silent/smooth, with this particular set up it does not really feel much better. I have tried tweaking all settings. Now the R5 on PC with Forza Motorsport is very good. I am not comparing the Moza R5 vs the DFGT/G293 but the Moza R5 + Ras1lution vs the G293 (native).

Has any one actually played on both Ras1lution 2 + Moza vs. G293? Since the G293 is supported I am assuming it would be better. With the current set up I don't even feel any vibration for the curbs! Thanks.

For GT7 you will only tend to get kerb feedback with wheels that support Trueforce, such as G923, RS50 and Pro.

Thanks. So an update for anyone who stumbles upon this thread. I did end up buying a Logitech from G923. So I could compare the Moza R5 + Ras1lution with the G923. My conclusion is that the issue lies with GT7 itself. The feedback is very poor compared to say something like AC, pCARS or even Forza Motorsport.

  • The r5 gives you minimal feedback and basically acts like a centerng spring after about 45 degrees. As mentioned above - no kerb feedback at all.
  • Now the G923... well... it's basically a toy. Trueforce is basically just controller vibration that comes through the wheel. Quite cheap feeling. You do feel kerbs and more detail with the G923. But you get what's on the box: a 2nm, belt driven wheel.

All said and done I went for G923 & returned the Ras1lution 2. It's cheaper overall and once you get past the loud wheel and weak FFB, it can be quite immersive. Would love to hear the opinion of someone who has upgraded the G923 to the D PRO or another GT7 approved DD wheel.

I planned to open a thread to GT7 forum about this and just now noticed this thread. Sorry, this post may not answer your question directly.

So I have the Moza R5/ Ras2/ GT7 combo and only just after the latest GT7 update I have engaged to serious driving after long pause caused of all of the earlier disconnections between the "triple combo".

Now it seems all is good in my setup, IF the Ras2 is first connected to power-on PS5. Then Moza R5 is switched on. Then the wheel is connected to Ras2. And after all that the PS5 controller is used as little as possible, best to keep it off. In this way no disconnections have occured and I have safely been able to participate in online racing also.

About the force feedback..
Something changed after the latest GT7 update so that I can describe the ffb feel as best as ever for me in Gran Turismo. Just to notice, back in the day I've had a few belt driven steering wheels, the latest T300RS. Moza beats, of course, clearly them all in feel. I changed to Moza about two years ago.

With my pc in Moza Pithouse app I set the wheel with switching off the "Hands off protection" (and bluetooth off too).
I also dowloaded a user created setting for the force feedback from the app itself but I cannot remember which one.. I can check it out if requested when I'm back with my setup. I think that particular ffb setting may be the game changer.. Or the GT7 ffb update.

In GT7 I keep both the ffb and the sensitivity at max. And with faster race cars + formula cars I reduce the in-game ffb to minimum to avoid the wheel oscillation problem. It is gone that way. It still happens with ultra fast concept cars, with the fastest of them which I don't use anyway. The oscillation problem may be avoidable with them if the ffb in the Ras2 device is reduced. The Ras2 ffb setting is alway max in my setup, better not touch the device during gameplay. (Within last year there has been countless amount of effort to avoid the disconnections in my combo, with no luck. And that was the main reason to quit GT7 at that time.)

The force feedback feel with the normal to GT3 cars is good, I'd say very good. And even with the formula cars, with in-game ffb at minimum, the feel and forces are there, surprisingly!
I'd like to add that in general I've always kept the ffb forces in medimum levels in my driving. Still, after saying that the forces and ffb feel are there and my combo is alive at last in GT7.
Thank you.

I think it all depends if you have a PC to compare to. If not then the ras + moza combo would be great. Otherwise I would say just stick to Logitech. Not having kerbs feedback breaks immersion massively for me, maybe not a big deal for others. Perhaps I will look at rs50 down the line. Also there are rumours that gt7 will add moza this year anyway!

Moza coming to GT? Wow!
Today I golded the Zonda R TT in GT7 and the kerb effect is there. I'd say it really isn't bad but I can understand. I have AMS2 and Even with Moza R5 I could get more than enough FFB through my wrists if I wanted so.
