Unique vocal melody, music that's relatively interesting compared to current pop music, though not by much. It's a bit cliche both musically and lyrically. Fadeout isn't bad but I like it when fadeouts continue the vocals or even add something unique that you have to listen for. 5/10. For what it is it's not bad but without pushing any boundaries it's pretty forgettable (like a lot of pop music).

Here's something different:

great song for driving 7.5/10

fan translation
Having my star on Hollywood Boulevard
My name in golden letters
Making the world dream at the sound of guitars
At the sound of music

Singing as long as God allows me to
Before Heaven
And seeing my kingdom shine in the night sky
From here to Australia

But that's not enough
It's not enough

If I have nothing from you
If I can't hear your voice
I go back to being a child
Deserted, dying
In her room at the end of the corridor

If I have nothing from you
If I can't feel your arms
I go back to being a peasant
Hobo or stray dog
With a heart in rags on the sidewalk
Howling frightened in the dark

If I have nothing from you
What good is it to be me
To be me?

Preserving my soul, even disobeying
Staying true to myself
Choosing to live with desire as my only guide
Without regrets or hatred

Going onstage, my body right in the light
Carried by the screams
Rising from the ground and soon leaving the Earth
Like the latest Messiah

But that's not enough

If I have nothing from you
If I can't hear your voice
I go back to being a child
Deserted, dying
In her room at the end of the corridor

If I have nothing from you
If I can't feel your arms
I go back to being a peasant
Hobo or stray dog
With a heart in rags on the sidewalk

If I have nothing from you
If I can't hear your voice
I go back to being a child
Deserted, dying
In her room at the end of the corridor

If I have nothing from you
I become a living dead
Ghost and transparent
Condemned to burn in hell
Howling from misery

If I have nothing from you
How good is it to be me
Yes, to be me

very underrated and avoided part of her career, her music in french

3/10. Various reasons, lead being it feel uninspiring to listen to. Couldn't finish.

Now, I don't know what genre ELO is supposed to be in, but it think they have established themselves in my top 5 artists.
