For the record, I was not arguing on taste. Rather, on competence. Bombarding with five of that Lowkey thing in one page, might be a bit much, as well.

This thread really ought to be about opening your own mind to new music and enjoying something different in an objective way, rather than judging it based on your predetermined preferences.

It shouldn't be about posting songs you like in the hopes of getting other people to like them too.

^^^ Interesting mashup. It fits pretty well, but not perfectly, there's some timing issues or something. One thing I do appreciate in a mashup is that the songs are lyrically similar as well as musically, and these are. I don't really like the sudden gaps in the music during the rapping parts. It should be used to draw attention to the climax of the song, not for each verse, as then it's just distracting.

7/10 (That's really just for the quality of the mashup, as I think the songs on their own rank higher. That's not to say the mashup makes them worse, but for a mashup, it could use work to make it more interesting)

Anyway, something very different:

Why does it matter if it's your style? If you enjoyed it you enjoyed it.

8/10

Good song even with the only thing going through my head is that gif

I've always kind of liked that song, but never seen the video until now.
I'm sorry I did . Those are some scary non-blondes. :nervous:
None the less, still a cool song. 👍

'70's Disco, that was somewhat of a catchy song in it's day. It still sort of is, but I'm not overly fond of that era / genre of music. There were some Disco songs back then that had more pizazz than this, but this one ranks in at around a 6.5 - 7ish.

Not something I would enjoy. 2/10

Saddest moment in the game.

7/10 Doesn't really stand out

Slightly NFSW, bonus points if you know where this is from without reading the comments.

It's just a generic rap song, really. 3/10.

Have some politically charged music that actually has real instruments:

6.5/10 Sounds like normal '80s music lol

If you're an Iron Maiden fan, you have to listen to guitarist Adrian Smiths solo album Silver and Gold. This is the opening track. It's a lot different from Maiden but it features great song writing and Adrian on vocals. Ringo Star's son is on drums.

Not bad at all, probably only song of it's type I've fully listened too. More 80's music being served up from the UK!

But.. B.. B... But... It's Gary Moore!

Anyway. About this:

Quite an interesting pop song (I think it's pop?) The vocals I'm not a big fan of, but as I got used to it I started to like it more. Liked the acoustic guitar at about 2 minutes. And the synthesizers sounded quite nice as well. The electronic drum kit I didn't enjoy, or the fact that the vocals were set too far forward in the mix (well in my opinion at least).

Lastly, it loses points due to the vocal, but it still gets it a decent 7.5/10. I'd never listen to it myself, but I can understand the aim of it.

Moving on now. A song with a truly epic name.

If you like it, you should check out the full album. It amazing.

This is Thirteen performed by Danzig, originally written for Johnny Cash.

The video below isn't the official music video (there isn't an official one) but it shows world renowned pole dancer Alethea Austin performing to it (probably nsfw, no nudity though).

You'll probably know the song from the intro to The Hangover.
