6/10 - Ferrari forgot how to make beautiful cars.
-186254381/10 for the Singer. The car itself is not bad at all. But for paying $350,000 (and with this price QUICKLY rising) - it loses 186254388 points. Absolutely ridiculous.
There was a thread for this car back then in 2010. My comments were:
"I really love how it's modernized with its appearance still looking identical to the old one (it can make people who see it for the first time to think, "Hmm...is that a new Stratos!?"), especially those circular taillights and the body shape, of course.
But, but...those headlights are just too...rigid. For me."
And I still think the same. It automatically gets 7.25 points for tangibly being a great homage to the original Stratos, despite me not really loving the headlights. As a whole, it's not retro-styling gone wrong.
But its chassis is based on that of the Ferrari F430, if I remember correctly. That just ruins the sense of specialty. They're not starting from scratch, from a wholly new chassis wholeheartedly meant to be a tribute to the original Stratos. And it's not gonna be taken rallying, after all. Nevertheless, it's still a great handling car with fairly impressive figures. I'll just add 0.5 more points.
