yeah. I've seen alot of RC drift vids oin my day including the RC d1 vids which had the rc cars producing smoke. :D

Yeah, RC drifting is pretty cool. Seen some videos of those things. Quite amazing. I wouldnt mind having one.

OMFG! I never used to think drifting was cool...but i SERIOUSLY want myself one of those. Like badly...anyone have a link to a retailer where i can order from? Ive got a couple hundred bucks sitting around that can be put to good use.

Ya these things are a ton of fun to drift, all you need are pvc pipes on the wheels and off ya go, well not really theres quite a learning curve to this thing, last weekend I tried this thing with my friend's 1/10 scale Tamiya gas powered car, it was fun and all until I hit the curb at around 30 mph and kinda cracked the front bumper.

Ughh...honestly though im loking into one of these kits. Theyre like 350US unassembled...maybe buy a chassis and get the RX7 kit.:trouble:

I really hate R/C drifters when it comes to the track since they interfer with my actual lap times.

I'm for keeping my R/C as griped down as possible, I've spent hundreds of dollars rebuilding the suspension to keep the car stable in the turns.

I can't count how many times at open track days people try to drift and end up slamming into my car or spinning me into the wall to avoid them. I've broke suspension arms, cracked rims, and damaged many bodies from drifters.

If you're going to drift your R/C I suggest you do it in your driveway or a parking lot, but stay off the R/C tracks and let those who actually are there for racing race.

I go for practice for offical races, not to be tormented by some kid that thinks its cool to slide their crappy radio shack car.

I think I understand.. As long as your car isn't from Radio Shack it's ok to ram into BlazinXtremes RC car, and continue to drift all over the place.

Thank's for clearing that up Blazin.

I take it you don't ever go to R/C tracks or even try your hand at some semi-advanced racing.

Its.. an RC-car, man.. Its not an Indy car. Aren't RC's made to be fun, not suck up so much damned money? Eh, get a real car is my opinion.

Spoolin is the RC god. 👍

my friend has a TON of race RC cars. he can powerslide them around turns and stuff but nothing to resemble a drift with continual wheelspin and stuff. but when its rainy, then its cool lol. his cars are sweet though...all these trophies and crap. heh.

I have a car...er truck. I have a few cars before that, I'm not 12. But I do semi-professional racing you could say. Every Friday night at a local R/C track there are races that you can indeed win money at. I go to the track 2 or 3 times during the week to practice and get my car tuned in.

Have I ever won? Yes several races.

and what do you care that I spend my money on? You didn't earn it, I did.

I didn't say you were 12. I didn't say it was pointless. And I don't care what you spend your money on. I was just pointing out the fact its an RC car. 👍

You made it sound that way though by saying that I should get a real car, I have a real car. That seems to be the thing around here though.

No...RC cars is like Miniature Golf......And Golden Tee Arcade....It was MEANT to be fun....but 3-4 middle aged men got ahold of it and made a lucrative buisness out of competing

Oh so true.

Shiet. That's so cool! You can just go to the street
in front of you're house and just start go sideways.

And what's the name of the song in the second vid?

I want 1 of those anyone know where I can get one in Vancouver B.C.

I think you can buy any RC and just put on those
special plastic wheels.

Eh, I can't understand a word, except suspension.

what what lol

here is a new version lol

u cant yust buy those wheels and race on normal rc cars might be possible on nittro cars more power those are specialy build for drift with suspension settings where u can change settings like on real cars

eh u got it now lol now plz dont be hatting:( :D i do have feelings:D

I was into the drift thing for awhile with my Nitro 4 tec, but just recently i made some custom shock towers, raised suspension and some other things, and i can rally off road now. 1000x better then drifing:) it's basically drifting in dirt, and since it's 4wd it handles like a rally car

Dorifto:
Didnt the same thing happen with go-carts? a few "way too competitive" guys started spending way too much money on their toys, and it became a serious racing class?

not much of a diffrence between rc cars and go carts if you think about it. Go-carts are more of a rush i'll admit, but they both go the same speeds, handling both at speeds of 40-70mph is incrediably difficult on a track, the only huge diffrence in a go-cart is that you sit in it...and us RC guys crash a lot more:D
