Interesting comment on Glock grip feel at 19:11.....

As some of you know, I am interested in a carry pistol. I'm definitely considering P10 now, too. PPQ looks cooler though. G19 is still very much in consideration.

CZ better stop ****ing around and start shipping massive quantities of this pistol before we get any more of these shootings. I hope Florida doesn't do some stupid **** now and pass some kind of ridiculous gun grabbing legislation.

Just thought I'd share my active airsoft collection because holy 🤬 is the new one big.

(Pokeball is there for size reference)

Also, sorry for this not necessarily being appropriate to the topic, but I didn't want to dig up a dead thread.

I used to have a MP5 bb gun that looked sort of like that as a kid. Loved that thing. :O

I finally got couple more of these things in the mail:

magpul pmag.jpg

No Paypal, no shipping to P.O. Box. Last order fell thru, then they were out of stock. Finally they were back in stock & I was able to accommodate their requirements. I already have six mags for my rifle, but the Governor who was sworn in today(coincidence) aims to ban magazines they deem "high-capacity", so I wanted to pick up couple more before things get more crazy in Oregon. :(

Similar results, though this might've been bit closer to a tie.

My Bushmaster is a .308 though, I'll have to get some mud & test it myself tomorrow.

I want an AA-12, not that I could get one. I'm partial to shotguns. :).
FPS Russia put that gun in a bucket of water, and put a fresh drum mag in it and it still fired. :) whatever happened to Him anyways? Language warning on his video.

Been in love with that one since when I used to play games. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.

In games, range was super short. On youtube, it was the scariest shotgun I'd ever seen!

Edit: Watching the vid made me interested in Saigas again..... but I couldn't find any online.

I totally forgot Obama banned the import on those guns. I sure hope this changes under the new administration. I don't think it was effective keeping Russia in check anyway.

Called yesterday to see if my K98 was done getting scoped and they said it would be done tomorrow (today).

Just stopped by to see how it looked (good, duh, I'm a genius after-all). I'm happy with it..... although.....

I knew that when I gave it to them the turrets were not going to be high enough to clear the bolt and allow it to be cycle. I told them after they had done so (probably shouldn't of and said that at the beginning but the lady I was talking to had no idea what she would have to say to the machinist) and said I knew that would happen.

Basically told them whatever you have to do to get it to slide back, do it. Cut some of the stock, bend the bolt, whatever, it doesn't matter. It's a beat-up RC K98 that's pitted in spots. "Does is it look like I'll wobble at the legs if you chip out some wood?"

Hopefully sometime next week it'll be done.

Did you guys see the Hudson H9? I want to shoot one. It's way too expensive for me right now. Waiting for that CZ action. Wonder how long it's going to take to get in stores. :(

I saw the Hudson H9 and was immediately put off due to the price.

I have no idea what that is.

Looks like a Robocop gun. I've been asking for Glock with 1911 style grip & metal frame. Maybe this is a start of the movement.

It's a scaled down M1A for like half the price. They are fun rifles with a classic action and the relative inaccuracy is borderline meaningless for how most hobbyist shooters actually use them. Unless a gun is known for blowing up in your hand, buy the things you like and have fun.

Not sure what specifically he's ew'ing, but at any rate it's not a concern.

I think Sig would tell you the MSRP is around $1400. Budsgunshop has one listed for around $1250 or something if I remember correctly, so when you can actually find one new it's probably always gonna be in the 12-1300 range. Gonna see if my old FFL buddy back in MD can track one down and get even closer to the distributor price. They are fairly limited production though so a site like Buds might end up being the only option when the time comes.

I was ewing at the finish, to me those type of finishes have always been disgusting which is why I don't own guns like that.

CZ has never been massive though, but it shouldn't be that hard to find them. Unless it's a new gun thing and everyone is buying them up.

Another Remington flop...

At least I can scratch this one off the list.

I've been looking into C&C lately, and now that you don't need a permit in Missouri, I'm a little more interested. I have several Co-workers that are big time gun enthusiasts. One of them is always buying and trading guns, and he brought me two of the guns he C&Cs the most so I could check them out.

One was a .40, I didn't get the model of it, but he said that was his wife's favorite gun. The other gun he showed me was a Taurus 738 TCP .380, and I really liked that thing. It's great for C&C because it's so tiny, he said he carries that one 90% of the time because it's so small. It fits in the palm of your hand and can be carried in several places on your person with ease.

They are only $200. I don't know if I'll get one or not, but it was a pretty neat little gun. It's so small, but feels really solid.

I did not need to see that to have it already scratched off my list. At least for the foreseeable future, I would consider Remington's quality to be awful.

Little guns like that are not fun to shoot.

Yeah, same on the Remington. With their current reputation on handguns, I'd have to see overwhelming amount of rave reviews before I even consider one. My first gun(597 .22LR rifle) was a Remington & it was the same way. Faulty magazine. How do they pump out new guns to the market with magazine that will fail 100% of the time? I did buy the 870, because it was very popular with the people around me, but that's a old, proven design. New Remington design, no thank you.

On the Taurus subcompact, I might consider one, but I think I'd still rather pay more & go with bigger name. It could be just me, but I've known people who's given up on the brand, so I'd be little bit nervous purchasing a Taurus myself. That's just me though, and not from personal experience with their gun.

As for subcompact pistols, I have nothing against it, and for long time, I had a crush on the Baby Glock 26. Lately, I've been leaning more towards regular compact like Glock 19(9mm) or 23(.40S&W). After seeing those pics I posted couple posts above though, I am actually considering a revolver now. Really digging those two designs, but M66 looks too big & I don't want a 9mm revolver either. I want a .357 Magnum.

I just realized I get a 50% discount on anything that Savage Arms makes.

I haven't completely looked into it all yet, but I'm really excited.

I'm really leaning towards selling my HK USP & buying a .357 for conceal carry. Stainless S&W.

What is this, a secret handshake!?

What is this, a secret handshake!?
This deal just snuck up on me. I didn't know it was apart of my program.

My employer gives me discounts on various gear. Outdoors gear going from civilian to law enforcement oriented things.

Various tactical knives, composite bows and arrows, and now anything from Savage Arms. I don't have any reason to be walking around in mil-spec gear, so I just stick to the civilian side and I have to really limit myself on what I buy because it's easy for me to spend money.

That said, the stuff I have already is kind of insane.

Now, considering I was looking at getting a concealed carry, I might just pick up one of those bags by Vertx.:lol:

Hopefully sometime next week it'll be done.
Well some time next week came and went..... still not done...

Supposedly either Friday or Saturday I'll have it. Bit of a mess but I got the total price down to $100 for the drill & tap + bolt fix.

Purtty good. Been raining anyways so I wouldn't have been able to shoot it much down here while its been out.

I'm curious.

For the more experienced shooters on here: What guns have you shot that were disportionately loud/quiet? (I.E. a handgun with a massive boom or a rifle with a small pop)

All guns are loud regardless of caliber. .22 being on the acceptable noise without ear protection spectrum. Your common handgun rounds like 9mm, 40 S&W and .45 ACP is a very loud pop type sound and will ring your ears. .223 & 5.56 are also a sharp piercing sound that will damage your hearing without ear pro. My ears are very damaged from military service. Mostly 5.56 sometimes in enclosed areas that makes it extremely loud. 12 gauge isn't bad considering the power. I basically have one ear I can hardly hear anything out of and the other very sub par. Wear ear pro but I can't really distinguish the difference between any gun that fires the same round.

I ask the question because I've read that 9MM is louder through a rifle than a handgun.

I've been looking at different shotguns. I used to shoot them a lot when I was younger with some buddies I grew up with, and I want to buy a 12 gauge. I had Remington 870 in mind, but I've been reading that in recent years they haven't been nearly as good as older ones. I was also looking at mossberg 500/590's etc.

I don't really hunt, mainly I want a shotgun for home protection, to shoot squirrels and other varmits that get in the garden fruit trees, and to shoot for fun with some of my work buddies. I have an old Winchester .22lr super x that used to be my grandpas, but even though I live in the country, I still have neighbors semi close(200-300 yards maybe?), and would feel much more comfortable using a shotgun for squirrels.

Well, I started looking at Benelli's, I started with the Nova, than the Supernova, than the Montefeltro, and found myself seriously looking at one of these:

I know that's serious overkill for what I need, but I still really want one bad. They are really pricey, but I made enough in my tax return to pay for one.

It holds 5+1, I've read you can get ammo extension tubes, but you have to modify it with at least 3 American parts, and maybe lose the pistol grip? I'm not positive on all of that yet, will have to look into it more.

Am I crazy for wanting this? Does anyone here have experience with the civilian M4? Everyone I've read that's bought one, absolutely loves it.
