Firstly, why it's called "Real Racing" I have no idea since the only thing real about this game are the cars. Which is a little strange considering it's an EA title, but I guess they don't want it outshining or even matching NFS. So...they released this decent racer that just gets stupid at times.

The Pros:

- Some cool cars including the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Sunco Camaro, RSR Jaguar and Z4 M GT3.

- There are some good track designs, too, but the car models are really the gem of this game...and pretty much the only real good thing about it, unfortunately.

- There is a 16 car field, so that's cool.

The Cons:
- The handling of the cars feels like they're slot cars. And you can't really feel the cars which makes navigating some of the corners hard.

- There are very few landmarks on the tracks, making finding the breaking points for the corners can be nearly impossible especially combined with the numb car feeling.

- Crashes are in the game merely to frustrate the player, as if you hit some thing hard, the car does a 180 and you cannot simply J-turn out of it like a normal racing game. No. You have to wait until it comes to a stop and then drive out of it. And sometimes, that doesn't even work.

- I recommend playing on Easy. It's super simple at first, but the frustration caused be everything else, and you won't want to had crazy fast AI to the list.

The game is alright if you have nothing else to play. But, I think, given the chose between this and Asphalt 6 or one of the GTA games, I'd pick the latter. Seriously, this game is like a threat from EA: "Buy Need For Speed, or we'll release this crap."

Real Racing 2 gets 2 stars...out of 5.

I'm sorry that it did not meet your high expectations; it's one of the best racing games on the iOS currently available, and most points you make are totally irrelevent considering it is an iOS game in the first place.

Yeah, but so is Asphalt 6, and it's still more enjoyable. However, this is EA and it is impressive that they actually made even a port of a game for Apple (despite the fact that they own several companies that make and have made games for Mac...In fact, their two biggest studios, Maxis and BioWare used to release all their titles for Mac AND PC.)
