What view are most guys using when racing online. I use the view showing just the hood and I have to toggle buttons to get a rear or side view it is really annoying. Is there a way to get a better view to the side and back.

I have tried the bumper cam doesn't really work for me.

I thought you meant rear and side view from inside the cockpit.

EDIT: Oh, wait, that might actually be what you meant lol.

I have my g25 wheel set up so my two wheel buttons are left and right out the windows. Lets me know quickly if I need to share the corner coming up.

Bumper cam for on line racing. Hood cam for "clean" on line racing. Cockpit cam for campaign, SE, or anything else racing against AI.
*Edit* My bad, OP was asking about the toggeling. I would set up using your D-pad for L&R views if you haven't already.

I have a Fanatec GT3 RS and I can't seem to map the left side buttons the only one that works is the rear view on L2. I can't make the other 3 work. Anyone have this wheel know how to map those buttons R2 L3 R3 I can't get them to function

I always saw that as a waste of money, you'd think one screen is enough.

I dont run triple monitors with GT5 but i have a similar setup on my pc,it makes a world of difference playing shooters and racing sims.

It seems superior to having to look left or right at 200 miles an hour. The setups I've seen online look nice. But it also requires $$$

I can't see why Sony can't put the rear view in the hood view the same as the bumper cam. Trying to toggle buttons at 200 mph is rather annoying.Or there should be an option to add a small monitor for the rear and or side views it can't be that difficult Sony

I don't use the cockpit view because on a lot of the cars you have very limited visibility and the car shakes alot

i use the hood view also, hitting the d-pad on straights or tapping it on curves has become second nature to see what's going on behind me, i would use bumper cam but i don't like how it rises and falls with the car under braking, kind of disorienting.

Set the map scale to 2 centered on your car. That will give you a very good indication of where other cars are around you without having to toggle views. It helps immensely in keeping it clean when racing online.👍

Map the buttons using the G25 profile. It used to be the DFP profile, but that changed when they added the G25 in the update.

I tried to map them last nite using the DFP but it didn't work I will try the G25 profile and see if it works Thanks

I still think that Sony should update the hood view with a rear view mirror the same as the bumper cam how about it lets send them a message

Thanks boshuter I tried the g25 and it worked great
