Picture the scene. You have just witnessed a terrible car crash, but you can't take your eyes away. It's that kind of shock. It's an afront to music, but then again a lot of todays mainstream music is.

Fix'd. But to be honest, mainstream music has never been good. Sucked in the 70's, sucked in the 80's, sucked in the 90's and sucks now. The song is fun and catchy which is what you do if you want to make money in music. The same thing they've been doing since our grandparents were born.

Oh shi -- how'd I miss this!? Ah...I know, I was too busy getting down and looking forward to the weekend. Yesterday was Thursday, tomorrow is Saturday, but today; oh, today, it's Friday, Friday.

And I totally had cereal this morning too! How awesome is that shi -- stuff?

I think I enjoy laughing at this song more than I do hating on Grenade...

I'd rather decide for Rebecca which seat she should take, than to catch a grenade for someone.

*Bob Dylan Version*
Multiple levels of awesome over the original.

I love the top rated comment on that video

"As a fellow critic said, this song is a poignant commentary on civil rights. Many people wouldn't have been able to be "kickin' in the front seat" were it not for Rosa Parks, who was arrested on December 1, 1955 on a Thursday.

This jam was recorded ten years later on a Friday, representing Dylan's hope for a new era of equality. When he says, "yesterday was Thursday," he hearkens back to the bygone time of Parks. Let us all now be "looking forward to the weekend" of liberty and justice for all."

As I type, this song is played on BBC R2. Maybe because yesterday was Friday, today it is Saturday and Sunday comes afterwards.

I still don't get why the interweb singled this out for such a slating considering the amount of bland, vanilla, pointless, manufactured, drawn out for 20 weeks on TV, utter rubbish ... that people do seem to buy?

.. personally I may bet on Rebecca Black being the UK Christmas No. 1 in 2011.

edit: what I'm trying to say, is once music reaches a point of terribleness, it ceases to get any more terrible. Therefore I lump this into the same group as anything that came from Xfactor or Pop Idol. I mean... FFS, Snoops 'Sweat' is playing on MTV.. WTF is the difference.. both have **** lyrics.. neither are 'sung' well are require much talent on behalf of the """"artist""""...

edit again: (since I'm on it..).. still WAY less annoying than Pony images in the Funny Pic thread... which I can only assume now is a sarcastic/ironic thread name..!!!

GGGGRRRRRR..

Rant Rant Rant..

Inappropriate? maybe.. it was just in the funny pic thread...

People who see this 'phenomenon' without seeing the whole story.. quite often shocked.

Wednesday here, it's not friday for anyone just yet .
Have your horses held, people. We're almost there

I got this. You got this.

You know what it is.

It's FRIDAY!!! w00t!11!!111!!!!1!

I never thought something would beat "Friday" as the most horrible song ever made, but

It's about jeans.

You need to be banned, like, right now.

And once again, WHO ARE THESE BLACK PEOPLE? Where the hell are they coming from?

As Willow Smith proved, singing about something on you whether it's your hair or your jeans is never ok & only makes you look even stupider than you probably already were for choosing such a dumbass thing to si...I'm sorry, rap (singing is too much of a compliment) about.

Started singing it at work. Someone asked if it was me singing it, I said yes, and then we both started singing it. I'm pretty sure the song is a virus of some sort.
