i just recently bought a steering wheel n ive found out that all the cars that i use to drift with using the controller are really hard to control with the steering wheel. so what do u guys reckon would be a good track to practice on and which car should i use to practice?

*TankSpanker's Recommendations:

hit that search button up there and search all thread titles in the GT3 Drifting forum
do a search for car
then for track

searching the titles for car brings up 94 threads
and tracks brings up 12

i know theres some relevant results there

i really dont think it matters though. It sounds like you did some drifting with the DS2 before, so there's no reason that your old cars shouldnt still drift with a wheel. It'll just take you some time to adapt (so i hear, i dont have a wheel :grumpy: )
And personally, I like to practice on Apricot Hill, it has a bit of everything.

Do some searching

I own a wheel DFP, and I'm still trying or learning to drift, but I like to wheel since it counter-steers for me.

I'm currently driving the S13 18000, on midway.

S13 18000cc?!?!!!! you mean 1800cc right? lol, that car would be awesome

well. i have the same situation: i have a wheel, but i can't use it because it's difficult for me. i think super speed way or midfield I or II would be fine track to practice.

I practice everything thats anything on Trial Mountain before going anywhere else. It's like my home course...

haha. trial mountian... that WAS my "home course" before i found out how to unlock more tracks hahha

Haha same here, and it still is to this day.

When I was learning with the wheel its really weird. Practice with the car you want and find out how the car reacts to different situations. My rx-7 right now is almost insane to control with a control. It needs very precise control. Well thats only me through. The gas and brake pedals are going to be the hardest to learn. Sinces you don't ever play any games with your feets its going to feel different when your supposed to mash the gas and break.

Practice makes perfect 👍

lol thanks fellas, yeah i just was palyin before. ive been using my favourite car the ss version hachi roku wit pergatory's settings on laguna. its workin pretty well. the only problem is that it feels like when i drift, even tho the front tires have full traction, it seems like im just going in a straight line. so often i would just miss the apex n then ram right into a wall. hahaha well thats my situation so far. my home course when i used the controller was trial mountain but wit the wheel i think itll be grand valley cos i love those different length hairpins.
