Having trouble with Suzuka, my first lap is about 1:10 maybe 1:9 at best. Is that enough for bronze? I always spun out in 2nd lap![]()
2:16.500 I think
You want to get around 1:085 - 1:095 for the first lap. First sector time should be 30.5 seconds max and around 55-56s for sector three (cumulative).
Don't use the brake on the bends after the first hairpin. Instead, use throttle control - you can do it no problem if you lift on the first bend and on the third. Coming up to the first 90 degree right hander you only need a smidge of brakes if you're on the outside. Get early on the throttle on the next right-hander.
The hairpin at the start of sector 2 was where I was losing most time - you can actually brake in quite late for it, just make sure you're straight-line braking with full lock for the hairpin. The next hairpin before the long back straight is perhaps where I lost the most time. Practice it a lot. Get used to braking in late and being late on the throttle - it's easy to botch it early and go into the sand.
You don't actually gain much time from late braking on the chicane at the end of the course, so don't risk super late braking, rather take the first curb sharp and get on the throttle early.
Sector 1 - Not much time to be gained from taking the bends flat out vs lifting, so don't be too worried if you're not pushing it to the absolute edge. As long as your first sector time is below 30.5s (first lap) then you'll be okay.
Sector 2 - This is where all the time is to be gained. Late brake on the first hairpin. Late brake on the second hairpin - remembering not to get on the throttle too early.
Hope this helps,
Naz
i find my 2nd lap time to be 2s quicker. so i set a goal of 1:09 for the first lap then 1:07 for the second.
any tips for Nurburgring? i'm 3.5s off from the bronze time. the first sector tech section is giving me the headache.

Oh boy, I'm having a lot of trouble on this one. On the first lap I'm easily hitting 23 on the first sector. Then I hit about 58 cumulative for 2-3, and finish first lap at 1:16.
So I am really doing horrible on sector 2 and 3. I'm trying to brake less, but I end up off the track in the corners. I guess I just need a lot more practice.
Any suggestions on settings to make this as easy as possible? I usually like to go hard core with everything off and manual, but with this car I'm going for easy until I win it (bronze)...then will go practice with it elsewhere. Currently I'm running with 5 for traction, auto, and active steering mild I think.

So frustrating. Have to make myself get up and do something else otherwise I'll brake something![]()

Think you guys are talking about different tracks or something.
