Has anyone actually managed this? I've spent hours on it now and I can barely complete 2 laps, not to talk about within the time limit.

A few guys on the gamefaqs boards did it, saw some pix posted as proof last night of it. Im not looking forward to it though.

ya probably a ton of people have actually completed it but i dont see the point of spending 66 bucks on a game and then beating it all in one week....and have 2 months left to return it i like to take my time....with everything

I must say that the X1 is kind of holding me back from fully enjoying GT5 right now.

I really love the game (yes, there are minor things I wish were a little different and I look forward to some of the updates Kaz has hinted at recently, overall am very pleased though), but having the X1 hang over me as an ultimate goal above anything else has made me feel that I am rushing to get to level 30 vs. truly enjoying all aspects of the game right now.

Instead of collecting the cars I want, I’m making “smarter” purchases… saving money to buy the cars I will need for future events (such as the PD Formula). Normally I’d take my time and go into collector mode while completing my events/races.

I think once I get to level 30… aside from actually having the joy of driving the X1, the chance at then owning the X1… it will almost be a relief that I can finally sit back and take in GT5 for all its glory and truly fall back in love with it all over again.

** Though the online function hasn't really been 100% thus far, I haven't even taken part in that yet because I'm too focused on level 30...I'm actually glad online isn't 100% yet simple because it's given me time to level up. Same goes for photo mode - I love photography and I love cars and haven't even taken a picture yet because I really am stuck on getting to level 30 and nothing else **

I'm not even looking forward to the X1. It's so futuristic and optimistic in it's design and power it almost seems fake, like it's just come straight out of F-Zero or something. I know they've kept it as close to realism as possible but it just isn't gonna feel like you want cars to feel.

I get why some feel that way...

I'm a HUGE Newey fan... When people ask for the top 5 people you'd love to have dinner with, Newey would make my cut. If Newey approves of it and thinks that it would work, that's really all I need to hear.

As much as I respect PD, if this was just there idea... Yea, I might take them more seriously than say EA. PD just puts soooooo much time in every little thing they do that it would be hard to believe that they didn't do their homework with the X1... but I think feeling that it was a bit "F-Zero-ish" would be even more understandable... but again, brining in an F1 team like Red Bull and one of the greatest automotive minds in the history of motorsports...it's just hard for me to believe the X1 isn't everything the powers that be claim it to be.

Just got bronze on monza with the x1. The car has insane handling and speed but the challenges are very difficult tho. I love the car, still shaking from the last race lol.

What kind of lap times are being set at Monza, Nurburgring, and Suzuka? The 2nd lap time would be more prudent as the first is apparently out of the pits.

Sorry for the noob question... Am I getting this right..?

The reason I am not familiar with this event is because I have not hit level 30 yet? I don't see it anywhere in the game currently and I'm at level 21... eh?
