What's the rule on this? Is the red pavement still considered part of the track? I imagine this will make a HUGE difference in lap times.

GT.de has declared you must stay in contact with the yellow + blue rumbles with two tires at least, so no cutting through if that's what you mean. If three tires go outside of the yellow/blue then the run would be no good for their database. I plan to use the same rule here for the WRS.

And we plan on using the identical rules for the Leaderboard.

In fact, the rules of the leaderboard will follow to a "T" the rules of the WRS. Unless CFM comes up with an oddball ruling for a specific race.

Yes, there is one rule: anyone who owns a Mazdaspeed MX-5 gets a second subtracted from all of their database entries by defaullt. Lucky me, I happen to qualify.:sly:

It would be nice to have these rules posted on here somewhere. I am not familiar with the .de website, and I bet that some of these times we're seeing on Sarthe I and II are using the red paved areas.

I believe those areas ARE used in real life...so it's curious that they'd be excluded. But, whatever is decreed is what I'll go by, I want to remain legal.

You may want to explain what the .de website is and the WRS, as I am fairly new to this and have no idea what you're talking about! :)

The .de website is db.granurismo.de

It is renowned for being the best laptime database on the net. Here you will find the best of the best.

The WRS is the Weekly Race Series that happens right here on GTPlanet. Every week CFM will post up requirements for a fast lap, and all participating members will get the best time they can and submit it.

Check in the Online Racing Forum.

OK, I checked out the granturismo.de site...but it looked like there were hardly any submissions for the faster cars. Kinda weird, I like our laptime database a lot better.

The Weekly Racing Series looks fun, it looks like I'm going to have to bite the bullet and get one of these gizmos that lets me upload my replays so I can compete.

Off to search the 'net for the best deal on a AR Max Evo...

The replay gizmo isn't a neccesity, it's just helpful. If you are putting in times similar to everyone else, no one will call you up on it. They just help if somone puts in an unbelivably fast lap. Also the top players like to show off by showing everyone their replay!

You should be able to take part without one.

OK, that's good, I'll save $40. Although, I'd love to post a replay of my Cote D'Azur lap. I'd still be on top if my good buddy Puck927 didn't go in and trump me about 10 minutes after I told him I got down into the 1:12's. Thanks a lot, Jay.

I guess I´ll have to check the replay of my 3:10.324, later I´ll tell you if it´s a valid time

*Update*
Looks that is a invalid time

The longtime OLR guys seem to be working on the licenses times more than hotlaps at GT.de right now. If you look at the GT3 Arcade laps there are lots more entries since it was around longer. I know I've probably got over 100 runs that I could submit from GT3 over here, but it would take forever to look up all HP and weight info for each particular run. I'd like to see the databases here at GTP start to fill up, but the entries are too tedious for me right now. Maybe if I get some free time.

Hope you enjoy the WRS Androos.👍
