I know of it, just don't know how?

I got iPod btw.

first thing you need to do is switch on your ps3 with gt5 in it, then log onto granturismo.com and sign in, start a remote race on your ps3 and select server standby mode, theb from your andriod or i phone you can select which race you want to do

I think just using your web browser in your phone no? Provided your phone has flash it works....it's just horribly clunky in a phone. Maybe a tablet would be ok. Unless they have changed it with a recent patch to make it more phone friendly?

As far as I know, remote racing doesn't even require Flash, so it should work in any decent browser. 👍 At least it did a couple of months ago.

A link would be nice, assuming this is about remote play, and not about remote racing. I've seen lots of talk about remote play on Android phones, but I haven't actually seen a working app (yet).

Remote play is um not possible.

Accessing the gt.com site on a smart phone just as you would a PC or Mac, is nothing new. It's just not very efficient. Even on a desktop, it's not efficient.

Use the B-Spec Grinder.

Edit: OOOOH, I see, Scott is new to GTPlanet. Welcome to the largest 3rd party Gran Turismo site on the web!!!

There's no question:

Give it a try.
....Dave.
Looks to me like it IS possible, David.

Define "remote play". In my mind, Remote Play means I can do whatever I can on my phone as if I were sitting in front of my TV. ASpec races, BSpec races, host online events (and race in them), etc.

Remote Racing is what it is, using the interface to pick what driver I want to use and which of my friends' drivers to have our BSpec drivers duke it out.

So, until Remote Play is fully functional as if I'm in front of my TV while sitting on the toilet or at the doctors office, it is not possible.

He is correct and you will never see "remote Play" on phones. This would not sell Sony more PSPs now would it?

The browser requires normal HTML and javascript engines.( No flash )
It will get CPU heavy when you see the javascript timing screens

The term "remote play" was copy righted to the PSP "Remote play service".
The "Remote play service" of PSP was expanded to other SONY made devices only.

Which is why this service from PD was called GT anywhere buy PD on release.

On these forums its been given a different title.

B-spec remote racing

And has been on GT5 since February 2011.

The Sony Ericsson PSP/PlayStation Certified phone can't even do this.

Thanks Graphite for the detailed info!

Anxious to see how it works on my new I pad 2. If anyone else has done this on an iPad please let me know how it is!
Work the same as All Idevices as the render engine of safari remains webkit core.
You just get a extra render kick from the second CPU core and bigger screen.
Still smaller than a Ipad with a keyboard. Called a mac book.
