Actually yeah I've checked and the upgrade is £7.99 on PSN. Dunno if that's permanent but looks like it might be. If the base game drops too then that's a deal effectively on a par with the deluxe being half price. So I take that back.

I did few laps on the 2 new tracks, they are really well done,! special mention to Sebring with the différent track surface which is really well made and well transfered to the FFB
Yes it's nice

I've got mixed feelings on this one, track surface color is off / compared to reality
And on PS5 it is excessively blurry, making it hard to catch braking point and signs

GT7 version is way more close to the real deal

To bad for Rennsport, GT3 and Lmdh physics and FFB are really good (track détail and surface are 👌)
I think it's very beautiful .
After several updates it will be great .

Sure ! There is so few games with true DTM cars, I hope they deliver with great sound and FFB !

BTW : I've did some races with the AI on pro, not the best AI yet, but I can see some improvements, there's still a long way to go for making it a nice solo experience
Ok great thank you.
The Classic Hockenheim circuit will arrive as DLC.

It's great that consoles are finally getting some DTM love, it would be even better if it was in a title that isn't still a fair bit of a basket case.

I think the parting with Nacon Excuse is pretty poor. The game was in development and used for esports for multiple years and the base was still sh** at release. I dont want to wait a full year after a game releases to judge if they delivered or not. Same with PMR
If you can't deliver on release date, either postpone it or do it as early access title

I did not compare them to games that are already polished or even going towards end of their lifecycle like ACC.

As a customer, I would expect a polished product when i buy it for a full price.

AC Evo and LMU have not been polished, but: They have been (or still are) in early access. It is expected that they have little content or are rough around the edges.

This is not just for racing games, it has spread in the whole gaming industry to deliver unfinished and unpolished products for a full price.

Take Forza Horizon 6 as an example of how it can and should be done. Yes, this is a way bigger studio, but the game is very very polished in the initial release with only minor complaints

Issues they are working on after feedback.

I don't understand why GTPLANET doesn't mention RENNSPORT ?
However , the game improves at in progresses !

It need time, since they parted with Nacon, they seems to be on a good path for delivering something interresting
I think we will have to wait till the end of 2026 to judge if they delivered or not
I've been following it (and trying it) since the closed beta days, and the argument that they are on the right path is old at this point.

It's remains an unfocused and poorly implemented title, and I fear that's unlikely to change.

Feels like once they removed the esports element, they've never found a distinct identity or cohesive direction for it. It still has this "Generic sim" feel about it where at this point its just fulfilling the Sim Racing checklist and nothing else. At least people will long remember what PMR is (Even if most of it is for not so good reasons). Not sure the same will really be said about Rennsport.

Do you try the game on PS5 each time there's an update?

Yeah, there shouldn’t be any excuses today. What did the game start off with, one car and one track? Shouldn’t it have been the best one car one track game on the planet? Is that not base enough to make sure there are no issues?

I’m not exaggerating or being picky or being mean. Kazunori Yamauchi admitted he may have been too ambitious in thinking all GT players would welcome GT Sport with open arms. He then just about repeated that with releasing GT7 in the state it debuted and that team have all the money!

Seriously, the PMR team did all those behind the scenes videos. Said this and that and went backwards from their previous games with PMR. Seasoned better as at putting out games and they know what people want. They shouldn’t be having to write apologies.

From what I keep reading about Rennsport it seems cooked. I thought the potential was there with the dang garage they displayed. Again, developers shouldn’t be dropping the ball with the amount of money being spent and the amount that could be earned. Especially the smaller developers.

Anyway, like I said before, November is creeping up for GTA 6 and it’s looking like I’ll pass on Rennsport if it isn’t sorted well before then.

Err nope, as I'm on PC. Following the last but one update it managed to utterly break Moza wheel support, so forgive me for still being unimpressed.

Edited to add: Gave it another go and they have fixed Moza wheel support, but my views on the title remain pretty much unchanged from the last video I did, mainly because it's still pretty much the same in terms of the driving, just with more content. It does have one new 'feature', which is that it takes great delight in randomly switching between 4K full-screen (which is what my rigs display is) and a lower-resolution windowed setting, all by itself, which is fun.

This has been explained to you before...

...and the same reason PMR doesn't either...

...but Beam.NG coming to PS5 does...

...see if you can spot what the first two have in common that the last one doesn't.

Steam charts are a biased POV, it doesn't include console players or other systems on PC

I think there is far more player on consoles because there is far less options on consoles for racing games more sim focused
They are indeed just a snapshot of the PC audience (and Steam is generally representative of that), but even if you double that on PC for other systems, and Rennsport has a hundred times the player count on console (and that's likely being generous), it still would put it low down the priority list for articles.

I do agree with Bruno, Rennsport and PMR need more visibility
The editorial team here has limited time, do you honestly think that articles on Rennsport and PMR are going to bring in the same traffic as GT7? I know that puts lower-tier titles (in terms of player count) in a catch-22 situation.

I do agree with Bruno, Rennsport and PMR need more visibility, having competition always bring innovation
I can see PMR getting a nod for innovation with cars that get little love on the console side of sim racing, but in terms of innovation, I honestly struggle to see that argument for Rennsport.

Even the upcoming content doesn't fill a grid for a DTM year, two that fit in the very early '90s and then two that fit in the mid 90's, by which time the first two were non-competitive.

We got different POV, I disagree with you, GTPlanet is a console audience for the majority, I think there is far more players that you are thinking

Regarding innovation, I think you have to play theses games first to make this kind of statement

Few examples here : dynamic track on PMR, damages on Rennsport, multi classes, sound immersion, mods, more intense FFB...

Sometimes it's interesting to open up your mind to others products, I love GT7 for what it is, I also love to have some other propositions with different interpretations of racing

Dynamic track isn't new innovation, PMR doesn't even do it as well as it's spiritual predecessors. Multi class, again not an innovation, sound immersion, other games do it better although PMR is strong here, it isn't innovative, mods, so far outside of skins and "engine swaps" there have been effectively 2 mods representing new content on PMR and 2 mod circuits put into Rennsport as official content, innovative on console maybe, but it hasn't been utilised to the potential needed to be groundbreaking. More intense FFB is a matter of opinion rather than fact, neither game is as good as AC or ACC in this regard.

PMR confirmed in an interview shorty after release that sales were 80% console, 20% pc - and majority on pc plays on steam. That would make it around 100 players total for both games :D

And yeah i dont see anything special in both games worth mentioning yet. I hope PMR manages the turnaround with Aris before its too late

For Rennsport though, i have neither hopes nor any emotions for it. It's an average sim with no standout physics or graphics or any game mode that draws my attention.

With LMU, AMS2 and Nordschleife Tourist sim (AC EVO), there is no need in my library for another sim currently.

Citation required.

I've been playing Rennsport since the closed betas on PC! You?

I would make a fairly safe bet I've tried more sim titles than the vast majority of people.

Let's do a quick list.
PMR from launch
LMU from launch
ACE from early access launch
ACR from early access launch
All Project Cars titles from launch
AMS for years
AMS 2 from early access
Rfactor 2 for years
RRE for years
Ditto RBR, AC, ACC, and too many others.

I know what the genre is like on both console and PC, and I know what innovation in it looks like.
Few examples here : dynamic track on PMR, damages on Rennsport, multi classes, sound immersion, mods, more intense FFB...
Dynamic track isn't new (this is at least Ian Bell's third title with it), damage on Rennsport is basic, multi class isn't new, sound is average, and the FFB on Rennsport is not great at all (Rennsport FFB for curbs and track surface is OK, for vehicle communication it's dire).

Mods is all you have and they are very, very limited.

PMR I can see some hope for as the car list is innovative (for console), but Rennsport remains an average title with little to lift it beyond that and a team that has historically made promises they can't deliver and changes direction on a whim.
Sometimes it's interesting to open up your mind to others products, I love GT7 for what it is, I also love to have some other propositions with different interpretations of racing
You assume I'm mainly a GT7 player? Nothing could be further from reality.
