If there is still space I'd like to take part (at least in the time-trial events).

BadManTurismo (PSN - is this what will be used for Unleashed also or will I need to create an EA user?)

PSN ID's won't be accounted for unless I introduce Feature Events (which is likely at this point) but for the time being, no, you don't have to worry about that.

Not a problem, friend. 👍

Now the OP has been updated with elaborations upon certain rules/regulations. Hopefully no one will have any problems with this.

Sorry T-12. I guess I should have tried the game before signing up for this. I'm having a serious problem with steering and throttle input lag to the point where right now I just can't stand the game. Hopefully a fix will be released but until then I'm afraid S2U is out for me. Thanks anyway and good luck to all!

Let's get the show on the road . l think you guys will like my pick for the 1st round , nice little short track.
Good luck to everyone , ( especially ME ) :)

And where do we find info about that first challenge ?

Do we HAVE to submit the proof via PM too, or is it only necessary upon request? Im not quite clear about that. Thanks!

Proof of your time is submitted through Autolog automatically. The time you're submitting has to be PM'ed to me.

Oops. I futzed up the class. It's C not D.

I'll fix everything in minutes, no worries.

EDIT: Fixed.

EDIT 2: How many rounds would you all like for each season?

Can we talk about what car everyone is using in this thread?

I know we cant discuss our lap times, but I'm just wondering what's a solid target to shoot for, otherwise I might be thinking that I've got the best time in the world and then end up 5 seconds behind everyone :)

I'm using a DS3.

And that's the whole point - the mystery is what drives people to give it their all. There will be rounds when you'll go up against my times, and that's always fun for everyone (if not a bit unfair when it comes to London River ).

I see how it works now. Sounds good to me.

By the way, is there any way in autolog to look at your times for a specific class? I only can see the fastest time set on a specific track by a car of any class.

I'm not sure, snoop around.

From hereon out, I will no longer be participating via the PS3 version. I'm sick of the constant lock-ups, the minor cramps in my hands every now and again from the awkward as hell controller layout (yes, I know I can customize the button mapping), and for some reason it isn't giving me the reward credits from Lvls. 18 and 19. So I'm switching over to the 360 version.

finally got the game. 6h into it straight. Besides a big ache in my back i got no issues with lockups in my ps3 going back and forth in tuning the car (or trying to...) before save.

Just a few questions regarding the car choice:

1) I assume we can use whatever upgrades you fancy? (staying within PI 999 of course)
2) Tune it to your liking?

I have a request though: ban the use of nitrous. It will just add confusion and very different laptimes. I think the aim of this series is to level the playingfield as much as possible, rather than manipulating the little nitrous button. What do you guys think? I am open to any suggestions 💡

Lol. I forgot to put nitrous on my car. Dammit!

My intention was to include all available options , for any C class car , including nitrous .
Using nitrous still requires a bit of skill , as your braking points will be different .
;)

Not up to me for this round. However, I have considered a very F1-like KERS implementation. Meaning you'd only be restricted to using it once per lap, and only on the main straight but I'd have no real way to enforce such a rule.

There's still time!

--------------------------------

Everyone can look past me saying I'm stepping away from the PS3 version. I'm not starting over from scratch again, not yet.

There's still time!

Yeah, I just spent an hour or so learning my lines around the track and doing some preliminary setup. I was pretty happy with my time, I managed to put the smackdown on Nitrovious's time on the day track, although I doubt that'll stand.

Then I found out that I'd forgotten nitrous, and there's at least another second in the nitrous. Not exactly back to square one, the time spent learning times was well spent, I just need to go back and put in some hot laps now. And remember to do it at dusk instead of noon this time.

It's tough this, but good fun.

Also, you mean DRS. F1 KERS can be used anywhere, but the DRS system is main straight only (currently).

:D not making it easy...I should have thought it would be included where else would the NITRO in NITROVIOUS come from :)

Wasn't it limited in '09? I honestly don't remember.

Neither do I actually. I think it was just limited to X amount per lap used whenever you see fit, similar to what they have now.

KERS/Nitro is relatively interesting, there's skill in when and where you choose to use it.
