Is it just me or do other people get annoyed when they get booted off the 'Top10 replay list
cause of wall riders. I find it annoying and soon the top 10 will be full of cheats. So you will be unable to download a valid ghost.

Therefore i think there should be a report button to press if you witness cheating and PD will watch, then delete 'Cheated lap times'.

Also why do people put it in a higher gear so with TC off they dont need to controll the throttle. They might aswel turn TC on.

I also do a higher gear sometimes as some cars are impossible to do with highest rpm in a corner with a controller

but the report cheat button is a good idea!
 
Long time ago I posted about having a Report button, as well with few other people, Never hurts to mention it again. I think it should be implemented in the Game, at least in Full version.

We're not all cheaters. I'm currently no.1 in the Evo 9 at Suzuka East in standard mode and I didn't wall ride ( not that you can here ) or use traction control or anythng else for that matter.

A report button would be redundant if the penalty system would just not allow wall riding. I don't know how to download any of the videos of the times since I'm currently playing the JPN version so I can't check them until the US version ships. I usually just do time trials in arcade in the TT and recently some new times have popped up in the top 10 a full second quicker than the rest of the tightly bunched pack. If they are legit I'll be impressed. I only do pro mode with aids off and stay on the tarmac.

It is annoying that people do that, though I guess it also depends on the car you choose. I expect the Ferraris, the Elises, Evos and Skylines and the like all have a high number of players on time trial because they set competitive times.

I enjoy the satisfaction of driving one of the lower powered cars and just setting good times for that particular car. I'm away from my PS3 at the mo but when I get back, all being well, my top ten times in the BMW tii concept should still be there! If not, then I'll just have to do more laps...
 
I stopped caring about the rankings, for a while in all ranked laps I did I made sure I was number 1 (on Eiger soley, no wall riding or cheating), untill I learnt everytime PD/Sony make a update big or small all the ranks get deleted, which is going to happen again in a few days.


Actually what I would like is a free lapping mode that was not ranked and you could use QTS settings freely.
 
A report button would beneficial in the long run.

I have numerous times in the top 10 and they're all valid (that I know of, lol). PD should enforce the same stringent rules that the drift trials use. One touch of the wall and 4 wheels off the track = invaild lap.

Even in a ranked TT it would be nice to be able to adjust suspension settings and stuff but not the power or weight.

I agree with Nige, Not all people with top scroes are cheaters. But every No1 lap i've looked at has cheated in some way, bar one which was very good as it was around Daytona Road and he used the clutch too.

They wouldn't need a report button if they did the Pen System correctly. Right now you get no pens for wall riding, but if you skid off and happen to hit a wall you do.:ouch: I just think they need to do like people say. Any contact with a wall, large or small, the lap is invalid. But unless they upgrade the pen system and report button would be a good start.

I downloaded the number one time for the Mini on London track to see where I good improve my times. And that one was an all clean perfect lap. Now this is a circuit where you hit walls as soon as you make a tiny mistake, this guy realy drove a perfect and clean lap, great watch and improved my time by 2 full seconds. Still not near his time though.
 
Best wait for the full game if your going to put effort in to get top times or download replays. Any adjustments to tracks, stock cars settings or hopefully more physics added will void your times. Maybe PD will have S1 and R2 only next and remove the times again, who knows.

I say let them cheat, the more knowledge PD get of the their cheating ways especially on HSR will hopefully make the the full game better.

Look out for the spotraces on this forum soon for honest driving, maybe the top drivers in the spotraces can upload their replay saves for us to improve if its not possible to get in the Top 10 because of cheats.

And there it is!!!!

So far I have not been impressed with the penalty system, drivers who really have to work hard to move up in the pack (and detest wall riding pseudo drivers) are still left out in the cold.

lol, must be by region then as I did top the number one spot myself, same car and track. You were not even on the list.

Wish it were region free!!
