Can you still recruit gang members after the ballers take over Los Santos and Grove street gangs aren't there anymore?

Yeah, well I guess that's it. I was so anctious to get to Vegas, that I rushed all of the Los Santos missions and didn't take my time to recruit. But at the time my respect meter was low so I couldn't do it anyway.
 
My respect meter is full... I've taken over all the territories and I rake in about 4K from my house (That's a guess as the highest I've had it is about 3,500)... I've not done any more missions since I got the ability to take over territory... just because I didn't want to leave it undone... I don't want to carry on with missions now just in case I miss out on the chance to complete the first Girlfriend.

But won't she get less and less respect for me and then dump me?

Same here...did to many missions under the gangwar.
only defended my hood 2 times.
Im pissed off about that! Ive done 70%(still more missions left) of the game and my
respect meter is very low...Damn guess i have to do it all
over again.
But its a great game!!!! 👍
 
I found the best way to win the gang wars was too back into a two sided order order a dead end alley way, so easy when they come at you from only one angle...or behind a fence...
 
I just pulled out my AK47 and mowed them down in cold blood... some of the Vagos missions were annoying cos they tended to run away up hills and stairs...

Had one turf war lastnight ajacent to groove street , the ballas hid in the alley way beside Cj's house, they ran there...it was weird, there was a turf war going on, and they ran to another turf....
 
What is also annoying is that you have a turf war in an adjacent territory to one you own... run into your to get some back up (Or some other targets (About all the use the other guys are)) and it's a ghost town... even coppers don't show up when a turf war is rocking!!

During gang wars the AI can get a bit screwed. Many times I've had to run to another block to kill whoever because they were stuck behind a fence or a wall. I've used grenades to take out groups of gang members nice and quick, but usually it's the AK. Got Hitman lvl very quick with that!
 
Yep same thing....when I went to chase down some of the ballas ( that were red on the map ) that had gone into another territory, the game said "turf war over" you left you chicken, or something like that !
 
Gang war weapons are based on the gun that you start the war wit.
Start with an AK, then the 2nd wave will have AKs.
Start with a pistol, 1st wave has bats mostly, and end with Tec 9s and Mac 11s.
I found it easier to fight at their spawn area, where they run at you, they don't even get a chance to shoot at me

..and YES, my respect is VERY high (just got a message that I can recruit a 7-man gang)!

Next time, open your game case, pull out your instruction booklet, chances are for something simple like that you'll get your answer much faster :).

Well, not everyone on this forum knows the instruction booklet inside-out, you know. I find layout of it quite messy.

And sometimes, simply answering a question without nailing the poor guy who's asking, will do just fine, comprende?

And it seems evident not everyone on this forum has the initiative to look for themselves.

But at least you had the initiative to search for the right place to ask, I commend you on that at least.
