If I delete my save file am I good to go or do I have to delete the game data as a whole in order to start over all together? I am doing this for the fun of just being able to start from scratch.

Just your save data and back-up data under the save data utility on your XMB.. You might want to back it up on a flash drive in case you change your mind! 👍

Thanks, I'll do this when I get home. I just want to start the game from scratch but I don't feel like spending forty minutes installing the game data.

I just sort of started over with my existing save, (I didn't delete anything). I ran into somebody last night who had just gotten the game, which sort of made me miss the early stages of this game.

So I saved up 20,000,000 credits so I could buy a bunch of cars to bring my credits down to 20,000 so I could basically "start over" with out actually starting over. Then I restrict myself to using only this money and the car it can buy, and race winnings ect.

The cars to buy for this are: ferrari F10 - 10,000,000/ Peugeot 908 -4,000,000/ Citroen race car -5,600,000/ Toyota FT-86 concept -300,000/ Acura NSX -80,000 (all from the new car dealership, note dont sell or use any)

So I dont use any existing cars or any extras from previous play. Also you wont recieve any car prizes or tickets, but credits will get you through it. you'll also have to keep track of the event you've done so far and what level of car to restrict youself to buying (check the race, it displays the level required).

It's definately a bit more difficult than a normal playthrough.

Why not just start over? Anyways, I would get the Lambo from the dealership, can't remember the name bit it's 15mill, that could bring you down a lot and still have something left over.

The Muira (Bertone Prototype)?

I've actually done this. A little while back I opened a new account and run it parallel to my regular account. My motive was, I wanted to play the game from scratch with unmodded cars with the parts and tyres they come with since purchasing a G27. I only allow myself to tune the parts that are already there. Brake balance, toe, camber, height, aero etc. No purchase of parts. I kept the other account to get my power/boost/turbo/sticky tyre fix. All those hours of gameplay/licences deleted? I'd go potty!

A plus, you don't have to spend your first 20 grand cause you get that Toyota GT86?(one of those anyway for free).

You need an A-Spec Level 4 to use the FR-S i think, though that is redundant for anyone who plays a seasonal event as their debut race.

I'm pretty sure I received the the Toyota GT86 in my delivery truck as soon as I started the game and I used it straight away on the first A-spec amateur race, the Sunday Cup I believe.
