Not even 10 members? :mad: I've promoted it every way I know how! :( Well, let's continue on, as I'm having a great time with this anyway. If someone wants to join in later on, they'll be welcomed with open arms.

Anyway, great times everyone! I thought I had given a pretty good fight, but apparently it wasn't good enough. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who feels that way about understeer, Talentless; that's my main problem unless I'm using one of the game's top cars. Sigh... Congratulations GVX!
 
you'd think gt3 would get more entries??
 
In order to get more entries, maybe you guys should think about relaxing the 200+ posts rule.

I've got nowhere near 200 posts but if I was eligible I would definitely have posted my time on Midfield of 1:22.129 (which I got, like, 2 months ago).

So what do you say?

I know I never submitted a time but since we are 1 man short I would be glad to join. I know I am late but I can still race a time trial if needed. I was on the last Team GTP and I'm sure the past members know that even on short notice I can come through for the team. So if it is okay with you guys I would be glad to be the guy #10 since there is only 9. Tell me if this is okay. If it is I will still race the times to qualify. If not, I still support the team. So guys, how bout' it?

i am cool with it!!! I will say though, you have to do the rest of the macthes with us... get to racin... you have some major points to make up!!! :D

I think this a damn fine race series despite the lack of interest. Pako if you were to open it upto everyone maybe we could get a few more people participating.

**The best way to combat understeer is crazy full throttle sideways cornering. Never would have done that time without it** :D
 
Um, guys, some of us can't get the cars to do aything. I know I need the car to slide, but it just won't do it enough, yes traction control devices and related are turned off. I frankly do not know what the best lines are. Much of the time I'm trying to battle understeer at speeds which I assume are 5-10 mph, if not more, slower than you guys must do. someone mentioned holding down l2, well i hope that i can release that button in time, because that is my downshift button. Furious throttle through corners is easier said than done, at least for me.

Holding down L2 is for Automatic tranmission only. This is used to hold the trans in whatever gear your in at the time you press L2.

Nobody said this was gonna be easy:D

ps. Are you guys gonna open this comp to everyone now. I know a new member that wants to compete but hasn't got 200 posts?
 
i'm all for that gvx , but it's up to pako to decide mate , anyway how do you fancy having a go at my monaco time in f1 man your fast ! but how fast !! c'mon have a go it'll be good for a laugh , do u use auto or manual ?? :cool:

dont like the pad and i'm getting a wheel soon to test myself with !!:eek: :cool:

I use Manual Trans for everything except rally. Rally is so much wheel spin it's impossible to tell when to change?!?:confused:

I'm using the Dual Shock II with the Analogue steering and button accel,brake,reverse & hand brake.

Mr P - I'm not a fan of the F1 cars and have only used it once to complete the F1 Championship in Pro. Did you manage to beat my Mid Field Denso Supra time yet??:cool:

Can't wait for Race #2 results:eek:

What sort of times are we talking about for Toyko.....??? I love that track! My best in the Toyota GT1 Race Car is 1:11.558:fdevil:

Here's an interesting bit of information for everyone.

Guess how many members qualify to enter this race series??

49!!! (50 including ZC85)

Yep there's only 49 members who have over 200 posts on this Forum. So 18% of eligable members competed in the first race.

So of the 3905 members only 1.3% could enter under the rules. There could be some awsome drivers out there were excluding! And for what reason??:confused:
 
yeah i agree what your saying ! but look at it another way if there are these great drivers lurking about then hopefully they would be looking in the challenge section and posting times for mini challenges and they wouldn't fail to be noticed then and team entry would be a definite possibility , but as of now only a few people are willing to try these events , most just look and they are gone :(
not trying to go against wot you said but if we were mobbed with greatness then i'm sure the best would stand out like a SORE THUMB !!!:cool: :cool:
