Here is my replay.
Tires actually made a big difference, and Côte d'Azur race in 2 weeks will be a nice challenge now that we know who will use what tire option. I already expect for myself the penultimate rank

Congrats to the podium guys.

I was hoping, that I was the only one to make this stupid tire choice and that way gain a lot of easy points, but no.

I'm not looking forward to Cote d'Azur on T3, but experience tells me that every series has its quitters, so I'll hope to get 1 point there, merely by submitting.

Congrats to all the T7 drivers for nailing down the top 4 spots. GT3mich rolls on...
I'll have all my replays up after the series; it's a lot of work for me to get the Sharkport hooked up, with all 40 ft of USB cable.

More close racing with LDM. Why am I not surprised. It was a tough decision, deciding which race to submit(T7 or T3) but I figured, get the points now and remove most of the competition from any chance at the series. Looks like Lafe came to the same conclusion. Nice race LDM.👍 On to round three in the dirt.

Nice run on the T3's the Eggman...I thought I had the last sector nailed but you found a bit more than .100 in the end that I left.

Nice job to GT3Mich for grabbing up first again. Enjoy it while you can 'cuz Cote's MINE MINE MINE

I actually had a 1:23.3xx lap, but there was a minor "off" where I lost time. I'm glad I didn't kill myself over trying to catch it though, since I see now it wouldn't have helped.

First of all congrats to GT3mich.

Second congrats to flatout for filling the podium. Nice to have car you can run flatout, huh? heehee.

And then I say aargh! at myself. I did choose to run T7's because I had no time to really run the race so I figured get what points I could. But now I wish I had found a bit more time as I really blew the last sector again by about 1/2 a second. I had a run at 1'21.3xx that had a third tire barely off in the very last corner. aargh! again.

Looking at GT3mich's T2 time it looks like 1'20 may be possible.

Anyway a great race and a fun series in a great little car.

And congrats to eggmann for winning the second race.

Indeed, this car suits my driving style better that the GT40 Race Car.
Anyway, this is gonna be the only podium for me in that cup. I consistently lose a lot of time on the dirt so I won't be a threat in race 3, and I have no chance in race 4 because of my tire choice.
I already expect a MiniCup '04-II, unless I organize myself some small car cup when this one is over.

BTW, I had a look at NielsG replay, and it's amazing to see how close our lap times can be with such different racing lines !
@ NielsG : it's a pity your braking in the final righthander was so hard, you could have saved 0.200 on this one only. (Your minimum speed in this turn is 86 km/h = 53 mph, and I had some laps with a minimum speed of 106 km/h = 66 mph here)

I always hated that turn. From both side that is, and I know from earlier OLR that I tend to brake to much there.

BTW I guess, what you've been doing, comparing replays after the race, is the way for us slower racers to improve. 👍
But I am to lazy to do that. I like the racing part, so I always just hurry to the next race.

You should do that. I loaded both our replays to compare data, and that's amazing to see the 2 little Minis (yours red, mine blue) speeding next to each other but never having the same racing line. You're driving outside while I'm driving inside, then it's the other way around for the next turn... till the end.
It mainly means that none of us have found the "perfect racing line", and we are so slow that whatever racing line we choose is fine and doesn't affect the final time
I just hope I can challenge you another time on this dirt track where I never have twice the same racing line.

After looking at the time that I sent in for this race and the replay that I posted, my time should really be 1'21:104. Sorry for the confusion. The proof is in the posted replay. LDM was right. A 1'20.xxx may indeed be possible.
