When I first glanced at the Mustang in the first pic I thought right away that it looke exactly like Eleanor from Gone in 60 seconds. The 67 Mustang. Then I clicked on it and realized it is the 65 from GT4. It did look quite real though at first glance. Cool idea.

Thanks for the comments :)

The pics were imported into photoshop, messed about with the brightness and contrast, took a lot of the colour out to make them look faded (kinda like the mature filter on GT4), then added some noise and stuff to make them look grainy.

I'll try and do some more when i get the time.

PS. nice pic slammer. What car is that?

Sweet job! Is it me or does the 2nd pic really look like the movie Bullitt? If only the car was green.

Rex, some five-star work there! 👍

ND4SPD: Wrong way round :), The mustang was being chased in Bullitt, wasn't it?

nope, steve was the cop in the 67...fastback and chasing the charger, could u get a pic like that over the seatle jumps? the second pic is now my backround, its kick ass 👍

you can fool everyone with them ... seriously
I know it doesn't take long to make
but it is freaking awesome ... good job!!! 👍

edit> I think he added noise and cloud effect, also adjust the colour by using hue and satuation or variation in photoshop

Bump

Whats the best way to reduce colour, like the above pics, in Photoshop. I cant seem to get things right. The problem I have is when I add noise there is too much colour in the specles.

im not sure how rex went about his. but with mine i desaturated my picture in the beggining (Shift+Ctrl+U).

I then created a new layer which i filled with white, and applied the noise to that. after that i set that layer to overlay mode, and dropped the opacity to 80%.

Goddamnit I hate pc's. Spent the last few weeks re-installing and backing stuff up after my hard drive died. Lost all of my GT4 pics too :ouch: :ouch:

Nice pic Turk 👍

To desaturate I use the Hue/Saturation adjustment layer and move the saturation slider to about -70 so it still has a little colour in the pic. And for the grain I use the noise filter between 5 and 10 percent, set to "uniform" and check the "monocromatic" box (that's probably why you're getting colour specles boost ;) )

Anyways, here's a couple more pics
