Great suprise for me, just went to check the old car lots and found the black beauties. Bought the R92CP. (either that or the 787B) And beat the PD Cup.

Damn.. Took me 600+ days to get my first black car. It was the Toyota GT-One race-car..

And I have to say.. All this talk about starting again has really made me want to... Start again. :dopey:
 
Then start! Again! :lol: I'm working on a personal report for tomorrow, I've written numerous reports for my own "Time Trial Championship", relating to my rules. I haven't written since my last GT4 time (and I lost those papers :() but I'm doing it again. It would take too long to explain so don't ask.

After numerous hours in the car visiting shops.. I never found an AV cable for my Ps2. :( But I found my copy of GT4, memory cards & Ps2, so as soon as I get my Ps3 back it's back to GT4! Yaay.

I would love to start again, I just have to check some stuff out first. :D
 
Sounds good, I mean this time around I've got GTP to have fun with and learn from. With the game, well I have noticed the understeer thing, kind of bugs me compared to GT3 (which I played for the first time ever today :D) and how lose and oversteery it is. I also love the soundtrack to the game, people criticize it, but I love it. Especially the "Moon Over the Castle" themes. Have no clue why. :lol:
 
I personally don't mind the sound track. It makes for some good racing music, but I tend to think too much during a race, loose focus and the driving becomes natural.. Then next thing you know the race is over and I didn't even realize I was driving. :lol: So I tend to have it off now.
 
AND it's not even the best LMP. Running the Nurburgring 24hr. again to get a big B-Spec boost so that my driver isn't grinding the wall on the Mulsanne Staight (Sarth II) at 50mph. :mad:

Hahahaha, I remember the first time I ever saw Bob do that. I was watching him go around then BAM! He turns and crashes into the wall. I was like :confused: Gave me a good reason to A-spec that 24 hour race. :D
 
It seems someone shut my PS2 off while it was running the Nurburgring 24hr. Oh well. Running the Star of Pleiades race, beat a couple rallies, I'm in dire need of a cash injection about know. Only half a million.
 
Soo... How many times have you ran the 24hr Nurburgring race? What's your percentage completion?
 
Well I suppose I ran it once, and my completion percentage is hanging somewhere close to 60%.
 
;D I get my Ps2 back from repairs today! Looking forward to playing some Gt4 and challenging you to 100% again GTProlouge. :D

Working on the FGT World Championship, perfect through 8 races, but I might only do 10 and just go in then quit the last 5 because this is taking me forever.

Oh, and I beat the Nurburgring 24hrs again. For 2 F1 cars. Then I sold it. $$$

EDIT: through a scenario where each FGT driver could not physically win the championship, I have decided through 9 races to just go in then exit the rest. Plus the next race was Laguna Seca, which is hell for any B-Spec or AI FGT.

And I know have a new C9 Sauber AND 6.6M dollars. Awesome.

And I dearly departed with my Blue/White FGT. I've figured I kind of went money-mad, I mean I have $8,100,000, give or take a few thousands, but what I think is that winning a C9 is hard, but winning the FGT was pretty easy.

So is New York. Even the AI seem to hit the wall just before the straight. (The one after the big round-a-bout. The one where you start)

Ugh.. I was doing the FGT. For B-spec to do even close to the pace I was pulling against the other FGT's I had to put him to 5 'Push hard'.

I ruined my run for first on New York by pitting too early, leaving my tires ruined on lap 74/74. Man was I angry when I went from 1st by 35 seconds to 5th by 5 seconds.

I'll probably run 11 then quit the rest, like as you said, they freaking take forever.

Also, one thing I also noticed, Bob can't seem to lap the opposition. No matter how hard he pushes, he always just gets a little 15-20 second lead. I noticed this when I let him start the Super Speedway 127 laps event, he hadn't even changed position. He was still running 6th, pitting every 11 laps with the others. When I took over, I was pulling 22 laps without pitting and ended up winning by 11 laps.

Which leaves me saying, yes I should A-Spec the races, but they take hours on end. Something that just doesn't get me really. I'll just race the start and get a good lead then let Bob take over.
 
That's what I do, but you have to have more B-Spec skill. The higher the B-Spec points, the better the driver is. I knew it because I was lapping people.
 
I have I think 9K B-Spec points.
 
Dang. I only had 6K. I set it to Fast (4) and Overtake. I don't know what's up with yours.
 
I'll give that a shot when I get home this afternoon.
 
A little tip on B-Spec training. It is good to let your B-Spec driver run in some races with a car to where he will not be able to win but will be able to place in the top 3 the battles for position that will occur will boost his skills much more than if he runs in front the whole time.

On one of my saved games my B-Spec driver has driven over 40k miles and only has a ranking of 4,789 due to the fact that he was in first place most of the time. I have another profile where he has a much higher skill with a lot fewer miles driven. The one with the high mileage I was using to wear out an RX7 LM while getting all the different color F1 cars. Needless to say he ran the 24hr race many times but eventually got them all as well as 16 million in prize money :)

Although you can gain B-Spec points for a close second-place finish, you'd gain more by winning.

I suspect the one with more miles has fewer points because it's all been on the same track., while the one with fewer miles has more B-Spec points because it's been on a larger number of tracks.

There are a number of posts on maximizing B-Spec points, including a rather lengthy thread that pretty much sums up all we know about B-Spec points and how to earn them. They're referenced from the stickied FAQs.
 
Well, ever since the New York incident, I haven't played GT4. Oh how short-lived my goal was. But I get the 25th off school and finish school for the holidays on the 26th (Of November) so i'll have a good crack at GT5. :D
 
Well that sucks. I've been up to some more ralliies, that's it.

I've golded all the licences and finished all the missions, and I'm just finishing up the 4WD Challenge right now, after finishing the beginner cup's before it. Can't wait to get to the Country-Specific Races, and the Endurance.

So far I'm at exactly 10%. :)
 
I don't know how you're going to pull that off. I'm not getting GT5 until Christmas, so I've got a month-longer wait then everyone else it seems.

You have a long long way to go. Sounds like you will not be getting GT5 until the summer.

:lol: I've been reading about the DLC and what I get for buying the collectors edition. Only two short days (AND I get the day it comes out off school! 👍) and i'll have it! :dopey:
