Returning after a long break

The last time I played GT5 was quite awhile ago, and I know that a patch was released (2.09), that affected quarter-mile times. Before I took a break from gt5, the majority of my cars were within 1 or 2 hundredths of the Leaderboard times, but now it seems like I'm 1 tenth behind the Leaderboard times. Will I be able to get my cars back up to that point, or did Poly cripple the cars to the point where they can't go that fast anymore?

i will just take time and effort, but all these top times are still achieveable. go for it bud
 
Cool. I just didn't want to waste my time on the 1/4 trying to dial these cars in, is the times weren't still achievable. But, why did my times drop like they did?
