Reverse Lights

Personally I think Reverse lights are stupid, its tinsel. I mean how many of you play Gran Turismo just so you can reverse around the track looking at the reverse lights so you can laugh with your freinds saying "weeee look reverse lights *giggle giggle giggle*". Seriously..

I also don't use chase. and I don't reverse too often to ever notice whether they work or not .

I've always wanted reverse lights in since GT1, when I had a fascination with lighting on cars. However it's been absent for so long that I almost think it would be breaking some unspoken tradition to have illuminating reverse lights.

Does not real matter what the poll results show. 'Cuz Kaz don't really care I'm sure he could have put the reverse lights the skidmarks the damn 3D trees if he had high priority for them. But if he is maximizing the full potentail of the game with all the other features like weather, damage, 16 car grid. He wouldn't give a damn if the reverse lights work at all. If he wants more important things in his list to get full use of the cell processor he would not even give up one less car on the grid for those minor details.

Maybe, when PS4 comes out and we can have unlimited cars on the grid and still have extra cell prossesing power left to use then maybe he will put all those things you want plus airconditiong, and a in car HD radio with ipod player. Maybe even heated chairs, power windows, bluetooth cell phone reciever and air freshner.

Those who are noticing the lack of reverse lights don't drive fast enough. Simple.

Here's an idea - buy yourslef GTA, reverse the whole time and admire it there.

I'm going vote no. Sure, there should be, but a 911's engine should be in the front, or middle, and it isn't. Just adds to the character. Much like eth lack of blue and white on the Dodge Viper GTS.

Maybe on the larger vehicles we could have the audible beeping noise too. Or the voice that says "Warning, this vehicle is reversing."

Well it would help when yr far away and a car is backing up, how else would you know he is unless the lights were not there.

If you don't think GT5 should have reverse lights in the vehicles that would normally have them, you are settling for complacency.

Ok, so maybe PD should implement indicators, electric windows, sat nav, cruise control etc, on the cars that have them in real life too.

While I did vote "no" in this poll, that was only because there wasn't a "don't care" option. That said, I hope PD have spent their development time on other features far more important than this.

I remember playing around with the indicators, headlights and reverse lights in NFS:High Stakes or Hot Pursuit (can't remember which one, the one with the HSV GTS and Ford Falcon XR8). It was kind of amusing and added to the reality in a way, but I never used it when actually racing and I wouldn't have missed it if it wasn't there.

I guess the only time it would be cool in GT5 would be during photomode. Otherwise it adds to the depth of the reality, but it's not a gamebreaker by any means.

Yes, simply because it's as simple to implement as brake lights. So, for those two out there who use "chase cam", and those of us watching replays and end up having to reverse for some reason, it at least looks the part too. After all, they are on the car, and it's all about the cars, right?

I'd rather have better AI than reverse lights, but then again, both of those should have already been in this game from day one. 💡
